Dominicks is the best summer spot in Ann Arbor. The sangria is amazing (and potent), the food is great. There's also a great drink called the Constant Buzz, it's frozen and fruity and very potent as well. It's a very popular place for students to go in the summer when they cut class. Everyone waits for the opening of Dominicks every year because they are not open year round. It's a great place to hang outside with a large group.

The first day you go to dominick's is officially the day spring starts, at least for me personally. The sangria is really good and food is surprisingly good as well, and its really easy to finish class call up a few friends and head over their...invariably seeing about 30 other people you know. The one knock on the place is it is pretty expensive, and when its busy it really slows down. All in all its a really fun excuse for daytime spring\summer drinking.

Dominick's easily has the best spring/summer atmosphere in all of Ann Arbor. There is nothing quite like sitting down to a half-gallon pitcher of sangria ($22) with a few good friends. Once in a while you'll get some over-exuberant revellers.
Unfortunately the prices have risen faster than a gallon of gas. I used to go here once a week (or more) but I've been priced out of being a regular. Nevertheless, it's a nice treat to spend time at Dominick's once or twice a month.
PROS: outdoors, good crowd
CONS: expen$ive

Dominicks is a staple in Ann Arbor as it is one of the few outdoor bar/restaurants. What is most popular is the Sangria, so you will see Dominicks crowded during the summer and fall with people sipping on sangria. While the sangria is good...it is also a bit pricey...so bring your wallet. You can purchas sangria by the half gallon jug, but it will cost you a bit over $20 (I believe). What I personally love is the constant buzz, which is a fun frozen fruity combination. A smaller jug of that goes for about 14.95 (I believe) so it can be costly....but it tastes great. It's a fun place to just sit outside and talk with friends while having a drink. Though be prepared, as the first days of nice weather leads to large crowds.
