We live in Beverly Hills, but we've been bringing our two cats out to Oakland Animal Hospital ( a 40 minute drive each way) for about 10 years now. We followed our Vet, Dr. Patti Pillsbury out there because we really like her! She's very friendly & is a great Vet! She's taken care of previous cats we've had too!

The facility is very clean, uses state of the art equipment, has Vet Techs and is reasonably priced! It's very apparent all the staff love animals! I like the various informational posters about pet health on display and "Animal Planet" on TV in the waiting room!

Dr. McInnis has been my dog's vet for a few years now. She has a special interest in dentistry and did a fabulous job with the pup's oral surgery and spay. Appointments are not rushed and your questions will be answered. She is always open to talking about any concerns that I have. Everything is explained so that there is a clear understanding of what is wrong and what our options are to fix it. Dr. McInnis has helped us through some hard and very frustrating times with the pup's health. She is the best.

OAH is comfortable, clean, and organized. The staff is fantastic and happy to help. Your pets will be well taken care of here.

I'm a long-time, frequent visiting client, and I can't say enough good about this practice. The office is very clean and professional. The staff and every single one of the doctors are outstanding. The front office staff is always friendly and and their vet techs are very well educated and helpful. I like that there are multiple veterinarians, with varied areas of special interest, that can consult with one another on the difficult cases. It's always helpful that they are able to give me a detailed quote on any extensive procedures so there are no big surprises. They are an exceptional team and I've found the prices to be very reasonable, especially for this high level of care. Care of this quality is hard to come by. I work long hours and their office hours are very accommodating. Thank you Oakland Animal Hospital for your compassion and for being there for us. It's a pleasure doing business with you and my dogs thank you kindly. I would highly recommend this office.

I took my elderly kitty, Rupert, there for a dental cleaning. The following year, when we returned, I mentioned that he'd been a bit lethargic after the dental. The vet immediately recommended a workup and that we defer the dental cleaning until the results were back.

They found early stage Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy [HCM] and I am thrilled to report that after 5 years, Rupert is still going strong - 20 years old!

These vets also found he had Chronic Renal Failure [CRF] and immediately placed him on a regimen of fluid therapy - which I was taught to do by the kind vet tech.

The OAH vets have always been fabulous - now I take my little guy, Bimmer, to them - he was found to have hyperthyroidism and placed on medication as well at 20.5 years of age.

Dr. Patti Pilsbury and Dr. Tim Duncan are top notch - they are both knowledgeable and kind - never failing to answer my questions and provide details of the treatment and disease process. Although I've named these great vets specifically, all the staff (vets, vet techs, etc.) are wonderful - smart, thorough and professional.

We will now be taking our 9 year old Wheaton Terrier to them for care as well!

HIGHLY recommend this hospital - I drive 45 minutes each way to see them!
