What a mess. Though I was going to try to save some money by going through this outfit while my car was in the shop for repairs.

They quoted me one price over the phone, took my credit card and did a reservation, and then pulled a bait and switch when I got there saying the vehicle I had reserved was not available.

Any other reputable car rental company would just upgrade you to another vehicle at no additional cost. Not here!

I tried to explain this to the girl running their office, I think her name was Susan and she starts getting short with me and started arguing and told me if I didn't want to pay more money, then go elsewhere.

I had my friend take 1/2 a day off work to drop me off at lakeside to pick up the rental, I had no choice but to pay the higher rate as I didn't want to inconvience my friend.

I thought that was the worst of it, and then this girl susan has an attitude with me when I return the car. She goes around the entire car to do the inspection and finds some little scratch and tries to charge me $40 because I didn't take their insurance.

Its not like these cars are like the ones you get from a national rental company, they are used and have been abused. How can you charge me for a scratch, when the car has dozens of scratches already?

The service at this place sucks. Take your business elsewhere.

I was concerned about my upcoming week long rental after reading another review of this business, but I found their services to be great, but perhaps lacking in customer service. I was cut a deal on the rental price for a week, the van was in great shape, and ran really well. When I picked up the van on a Saturday, the ladies seemed a little short with me, but it might just have been that they were waiting for me to pick up the vehicle before they could head home for the weekend.

When I went to drop off the van during business hours on Saturday, it was about 30 minutes prior to closing time and they were closed. I locked the keys in the van, and left it there. I called on Monday to make sure everything was fine and they said yes. No big deal.

Do not rent from these people. They sold me a Travelers insurance policy and the rental car got stolen. You think it would be covered.

This company has tried to get my personal insurance to cover the damages, which denied the claim. Then they tried going after my credit card insurance, and then the rental company decided that they where waiting too long for the insurance to pay them and decided to charge my credit card $4000.

Luckily im disputing my credit card charges with my bank, and stand a good chance to win.

Also if you do rent a car from these people, you need to watch out when they process the paperwork. They will try to get you to sign a blank credit card slip with an impression of your credit card when your in their office.

DO NOT SIGN IT!

The pupose of the blank credit card slip is so if there are any damages to the car they can charge you and have the required documentation to send to the credit card company to support their claim.

Luckily I was not an idiot and didn't sign a blank credit card slip with these people!

Its just bad business, as a company, you just don't go and charge customers credit cards without their authorization. Customers are going to dispute the charges, and customers are going to get their money back.

The stupid part about this whole matter is that the insurance claim is not finalized yet and they are going to get paid for the damages from the insurance.

When the insurance company issues their check for the damages, I told the insurance company to make out the check in both parties so I would have to sign off on it. They just pissed me off charging my credit card, lets see how they like it when I refuse to sign it. HA HA HA.
