Liked the people working there - will tell you whether something can be done for the computer or not and at very reasonable prices. they will not try to see you things just to sell! which i appreciate much. highly recommend you try this place for repairs!!

I purchased a larger hard drive for my lap top from these guys and told them I wanted to clone my old drive for fear of losing music files, etc. They suggested Acronis. I purchased the software and did everything they recommended but was unsuccessful in doing it myself, so I handed it over to them and agreed to pay a much higher fee to expedite the process.

I was told to pick up the machine two days later. No phone calls, so I drove the 25 miles to pick it up at the appointed time. Not ready. I was told the next day for sure. Went back the next day. Not ready again, and, again NO PHONE CALL.

Went in two days later...unable to do a clone, they said and they were just going to do a data transfer, assuring me that no files would be lost. They would have it for me next day...SAME STORY! No phone calls and not ready.

Went in middle of next week and had to wait for over two hours while they "finished up." Take the machine home and all of my files are inaccessible...gone...

Never use these guys! Spend the few extra dollars and go somewhere where they care about your business and will communicate throughout the process.

My wifes laptop computers "a" and "s" keys weren't working. I took it to Best Buy to see abuot fixing the keys. They sent it to the manufacturer who wanted $650.00 to fix it (the computer cost $450.00). I said no, got it back and took it to Digilink. They told me a new keyboard would cost about $25.00 but I would have to order it and then bring it in and they would install it. When the new keyboard came in I took it and the laptop to Digilink. The guy poped in the new keyboard on the laptop (4 minutes) and didn't charge me anything. Be careful about Best Buy for "fixes" - Digilink saved me $625.00 - and my wife's laptop works fine.

I have taken my laptops here for years. I have always been happy with the service that I receive from Wally and Mike. Make sure that you call before you bring your computer in to see how busy they are and a time approximation to get your work done- sometimes they are really busy and if you can wait for a better day then you will be without for a shorter time period. I have never purchased a computer from here, so I can't attest to that.

After doing a little online shopping at Dell, HP, etc., I decided to give the local guys a try. While the salesman was nice enough, the computer he ended up recommending that they build for me turned out to be, in retrospect, less than ideal for my application.

I found this out 15 months later, when the power supply died, and a guy who fixes and builds computers in his basement, someone who really loves his work, took it apart and explained to me how Digilink hadn't done a very good job putting the computer together, literally and figuratively.

Add to that a service department that is somewhat pompous and unresponsive, and you have the ingredients for a place I won't be visiting in the future.

They told me that the scan takes 7 days and that my computer would be done as soon as the computers that were being scanned were done. It took three weeks to get it back!!! And it wasn't much faster.

Less than 6 weeks later, my computer was doing a "boot loop". I took it in on a Saturday. They don't work on computers on the weekend, but I was told it looked like it wouldn't take long. I called at the end of the day on Monday and Wally told me it would be a good day. I waited until Wednesday to call and Wally told me there was no way he'd get to it until the next week. I called the manager and left a voice message about how upset I was about being misled on the time it would take. I never got a response.

On the next Monday, nine days after I took it in, Wally called and told me there was nothing on the hard drive. They could do a memory retrieval. Of course, they are back logged and it will take 2-3 MONTHS. I bought a new computer at Best Buy.

Their store is awesome. Their custom built computers have no comparision. The staff really know what their talking about and it makes for a very easy shopping experience. The service is fast, however is a little pricey but definitely worth it since the quality and work is excellent.

This is the only real computer store in East Lansing. They actually know what they are talking about and dont try to sell you things you dont need. This is coming for a computer guy so I actually know what I am talking about. The guys there have a good computer background and for the most part their reccomendations are legitamate. I highly reccomend this place for comptuer repair or sales.
