I had TERRIBLE experience with this dental office: over an hour wait (with appointment) ugly walls, old chairs, scary half broken equipment, unfriendly stuff and not professional dentists and/or hygienist. I do not recall the names, but older gentlemen and blond young female doctor, the filling that she did for me still hurts. They claimed that I need to have 9 teeth filled immediately or otherwise I would have to do of root canal work. When I got second opinion 4 month after, I was only 3 teeth, not urgent and obliviously no canal work was required. And the new doctor spend over an hour cleaning my teeth, because Sunrise was not able to do it properly and did not remove the plaque. Basically, Sunrise Dental Care is a total Rip Off. And the Ridiculous story with the prices being different for folks with dental plans and those who pay out of pocket. I walked out of there with over $300 bill and pain. Do not go there!!!

I love the new place the changes are wonderful. Make sure you ask for Dr. Daood, him and his staff were amazing, and while they were busy, they have the lowest fees in the area:) I have a friend that came from Indiana to this practice for having teeth pulled and new dentures!

I recently visited this office as a new patient for my 6 month check.
The front desk is very nice, they are friendly which is really comforting because I don't always like going to the dentist. It was very clean and the hygienist and doctor were very nice and made me feel important. I will definitely be staying there for any future appointments. I highly disagree with some of these reviews!! Go there!! I would recommend it to anybody!

I was in last Saturday and was impressed w/all the new changes. The staff was very up beat and knowledgeable. I had a tooth ache and the dentist, Dr. Khalil, took my tooth out w/out me feeling a thing. My kids saw the hygienist and she was so sweet to my daughters. It was my youngest first time, and Dr. Daood was able to calm my daughter down. As a Medicaid patient it is hard to find good doctors that care, but this place makes me feel like part of their family.

All i can say that I couldn't believe the difference. I stopped going to sunrise since Oct 07. had to go Saturday 2/21/09 for pain and they were the only dentists open. i couldn't believe my eyes how more professional everything looked. they gave me huge discount. i would recommend them for sure. doctor daod (not sure if i got the spelling right) is good and very nice. everybody looks new to me. my sister said the same and i wouldn't believe her till i went there.

I went there for a regular check-up with my children and i was greeted by the most pleasant faces that i have seen in a long while. they were nice, courteous and very helpful. The dentist was very patient with my child and there prices are reasonable if u don't have insurance. They will definitely work with you. I would recommend this office to anyone who is in need of help with there teeth and oral hygiene.

This place claims to have changed. They are still doing the same old crap, nothing is different. Dirty. If you have medicaid, they will see you, they will do the bare minimum, since they are not making much money off of you. Believe me, they dont look for cavities, only the obvious problems. They will not catch a cavity before it gets really bad. Stay away. This place needs to be shut down and the doctors need their licenses revoked. Unethical practices. They only want your money.

On Memorial Day 2008 I developed an infection in the gum below one of my front teeth. I went in here as an emergency. I paid $95 even though I have full dental coverage. I saw a dentist (a relative of Dr, Mengele, I believe). He "examined" me for 30 SECONDS!!! (I'm not kidding) and gave me a prescription for pain/anti-biotics. The following day I went to my REAL dentist. He said and I quote, "This is the worst infection I've seen in 20 years as a dentist, you could've taken anti-biotics till the cows came home and they would NOT have cured this. I had emergency oral surgery THAT DAY. On top of that this DUMP has owed me $77 for 5 months. My insurance paid everything except $18. I have made 5 calls in an attempt to resolve this to no avail. Today I filed a complaint with the BBB. In checking the BBB site I found 23 unresolved complaints against this SEWER, I expect mine to be #24. I will however take this to the next level, The Dental Review Board of Michigan and the Michigan Attorney Generals Office, for fraudulent business practices. IT WOULD BE BETTER TO LOSE ALL YOUR TEETH, THAN TO GO HERE!!!

the DR. was very rude. today was my second trip only because i had payed my (95.00) money and they were open on the weekend.got teeth cleaned dr. last sunday mouth still sore on that side..i told the Dr.that i would not be back ...to many red flags...nasty busted chairs..nasty busted chest vest...outlet with missing cover with exposed wires that a kid could get to
the hygentist that finish the cleaning today did a good painless job unlike the Dr. that gave me 4 shot pain befor he even got stared.
so if u go look around for yourself it will only take seconds
and if go past the lady hygentist...be prepared 2 hurt like he**

They got me in on a sunday. Everyone was nice but it is busy. Dr. Khalil did a good job removing 2 wisdom teeth and did not have to break them. I did not like there policy on copays they want 55 in 2 weeks from me, I have medicade insurance so im not sure what that is for. Will I use them again, PROBOLY. If you are looking to be seen on the weekend and need service fast this is your place. Dont expect anything else like your bigger dental companies offer.

I was there this week, I had a cleaning and overheard that the hygienist were now commission only. Guess thats why I had the quickest cleaning ever in my life. My teeth still felt like they had plaque on them and my gums were so sore from her trying to be quick.Previously, I have had my cleanings done at a hygiene school clinic, where they are sure to hold the picks the right way and take their time and do it right. This was not done well at all. The Doctor who came in for the exam was not nice, he came in looked in my mouth with a mirror, and said I have no cavities, when I am sure I have one or more since I never got fillings done the last time I had an exam and was told I had some then. I dont think cavities go away magically. I will go to another office from now on. I guess having new owner hasnt changed much in the office besides a paint job on the walls. What a joke.

Made an appt. 2 weeks in advance, and still waited almost 2 hours to be seen here. I had a root canal, and eventually a crown put on. I have had the crown on for only 2 years now, and I have had to return there twice now because it has came loose. Even though, they say crowns are guaranteed for 5 years, I have had to pay $35 each time to have it put back on.
The dentists and staff there are very unprofessional, and the rooms are filthy!!

Our family had just moved to Michigan and our 5 year old son was having some trouble with his teeth. We randomly found this dental office in the phone book and made an appointment the same day. Before going back to the room to investigate the problem, they charged us $95.00 and told us it was the LAW to have x-ray's taken. I think they thought my husband, who is a 3rd yr medical student, was a retard. He told them we are fully aware of our rights and we have the right to deny any type of x-ray. I talked my husband into just getting the x-ray because my son was in a lot of pain and it needed to be fixed asap. We walked back to the room, and after a while the assistant came in and took 1 x-ray, which had 3 teeth on it for the dentist to look at. The dentist came in and took a look at my sons teeth with a mirror (NO OTHER TOOLS TOUCHED HIS MOUTH) and said we need to go to another pediatric dentist so he could be sedated. They tried giving us a referral which took 30 mins to fill out a piece of paper, to give to another dentist. So long story short they charged us $95 dollars for and x-ray of 3 teeth in a 5 year old mouth. RIP OFF! They didn't even attempt to clean, polish or scratch a little plaque off of the teeth. So now we have to wait longer to get my poor kids teeth fixed. DON'T GO THERE! IT WILL BE A NIGHTMARE! It was a dirty, unorganized and unfriendly place. Plus they will charge you before they even know the work needing to be done.

I used to be a patient at Sunrise, on Sunday i had to go there because they were the only ones open. When i got there,i saw Dr. Kolderman,he took care of me and got me out of pain, everyone was nice . I asked a dental assistant what had happened here, they said recently new owners and new management. I must say, i was impressed.

I have been going to Sunrise Dental for six years. This is the only dentist office that I know of that is open seven days a week including holidays! They will even accommodate you even as a walk-in without an appointment. I can tell you that I avoid weekends because it tends to be busy, and you have to wait longer, but every dentist that has ever worked on me has always been courteous and respectful. I would recommend them to anyone especially if you are working with a limited budget!!

Had an appointment for 3:30. At 4:25 I asked how much longer. Took me to a room at 4:35. At 5:00 assistant came and took X-rays. Then 10 minutes later another came to take extensive X-rays. All I wanted was an oral surgeon to take out a molar. At 5:30 I asked a young lady walking by to go see if they had forgotten me in the room. Another assistant came in to tell me I needed a cleaning. I told her in loud terms that I didn't need a cleaning and just wanted this tooth pulled. I had just had a cleaning by my regular dentist. When I made appt. last week I told them the trouble with this tooth and the reason I needed an oral surgeon. They told me no trouble. At 5:55 I left the building irate. Now, remember they have my $55.00 co-pay. I was so angry that that made no difference to me. Please tell your friends. I am poor so I need to get care somewhere. But NO ONE needs to be treated as a second class person. These people are rude and when I was waiting in the room, I overheaard an awful lot of swearing in another room. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!

This past winter I made an appointment at Sunrise Dental Center. I was having a toothache from my wisdom teeth and needed them pulled so I called around and this office was the only place that would see me that day. I asked if there was a charge and the lady said no. I came in and waited 40 minutes until they had me fill out paperwork. After I filled out my forms I was informed there was a $95.00 fee "to get me started." I waited an hour and 45 minutes. The assistants were just playing around, laughing and swearing loudly. They were very unprofessional. After about nearly 2 hours they walked me over to Sunset IN THE SNOW. I waited there for an hour as they cleaned my teeth, which I didn't come in for but the doctor said I needed. I was walked back to Sunrise where I waited another hour. I finally got back to the surgeon. When I scheduled my post-op appointment the receptionist was rude! She acted annoyed with me and I barely even talked to her. The office is dirty, and pretty much tore up. I wouldn't recommend it. Also, if you want duplicated x-rays it's an additional fee to the fee you paid in the first place!

DO NOT go to this dentist office, even in an emergency! Nothing but a SCAM! It was a holiday weekend and this was the only dentist who responded to my calls, so I gladly went. However I am very sorry now that I did. They lured me in just to charge me for a FULL set of x-rays (which I didn't need). They make you pay up front to make sure they get their money. Then when I saw the dentist I couldn't believe how unprofessional he was! A young man playing and joking with the assistants like he was a kid... after watching this go on for 15 minutes, I was shocked to find out that HE was the dentist!!! Then when he finally got around to my tooth, he just tapped on it and asked if I wanted it pulled. Didn't even attempt to find out what the problem was, or whether it could be saved. I got out of there as fast as possible and put up with the pain until I could find a REAL dentist! Then when I went back for the x-rays, that I paid for, they would not give them to me... told me I need to pay another 35.00 and wait a week and a half for them to make copies. A huge waste of time and money. This place should be shut down!

i had gone there before and actually got a good dentist at first it was a good experience. Then i went back 6 months later he was gone.So I was given Dr. farhat,I needed a root canal done, he started his work on a tooth that was too infected to be numbed all the way, he knew i was in a lot of pain and kept going anyway he did not get to finish. He was shouting obscenities at me,packed what was left of my tooth with medicine and sent me on my way.I went home locked myself in my bathroom and screamed for hours on end later that night i ended up in the E.R,and had to be put on an I.V with an antibiotic in it.Needless to say i now see someone else, they would not give my current dentist my records at all. They also billed my insurance for work not done. The only reason i ever went there was because, they work with you on payments for out of pocket expenses. You will also be interested to know that one of the girls that used to work there, works with my current dentist. She has told me about Dr.weiners verbal and physical abuse against patients and staff including her.She has told me that their hygenists are not all trained properly. This is why i have had many weak spots in my teeth that have turned into bad cavities. Before i went there i had great teeth now they are ruined! I am 29 years old and I have total panic attacks,at the mere thought of going to the dentist now.My wedding is next year and even with my insurance i cannot afford to have my teeth fixed the way they need to be!

I began going there about 5 months ago. It all seemed well and good until the past couple weeks.
It seems to me he collects the money from medicaid and then doesn't provide the goods.
I was supposed to get dentures. I was told this week they were approved by medicaid. I went in for impressions. Then they told me the apporval hasn't even been requested by them to medicaid yet. Its been 4 months!!!! They wanted to re take xrays and start all over. In the meanwhile theye took out some teeth and I look like a jack-o-latern. WXYZ TV did an investigation on them and the Attorney General's office says Weiner is incompetent. 79 complaints and 27 of them seem to have good merit and are being further investigated.
One patient, age 94 was put in a headlock by the dentist. Weiners wears at the patients. Unqualified personnell do Xrays.
Look at WXYZ'z investigation, search the internet for it. I wish I had already known his past.
It seems even with the attorney generalas office pursuing this and the wxyz thing,, he is still doing the awful things he does.
If you choose to go there, good luck, you will need it!!!

I advise everyone to avoid this dentist office. There office staff is very unorginized. The whole staff is horrible with children. And they charge you copay's when you do not have a copay. They call it a child mainance fee. Then they charge a huge amount for every little thing they do. They have no patience with children. And I waited there for two hours one time for a cleaning and never seen any one. Then I take my kids there they charges us a tone of money. And they held my daughter down to clean her teeth when I told them not to. And they were very meen with my son and he was scared of them. They charged us ahead of time so they charges us even for fills that they did not due. Please take my advise and do not go there.
PROS: None
CONS: This company should not be in business

I have tried for over a year to get them to correct my husband's account. The service was billed incorrectly. After saying they will correct it, instead I get a letter every three months stating that his bill is overdue. I am frustrated beyond belief.
PROS:
CONS: Billing staff has no idea what they are doing

I don't even know where to start. This place is a nightmare. It is unorganized, super expensive, and quite frankly, unclean. The dentists are so intimidated by the owner that you have to wonder why they are still working there. They also have no handicap accessible bathroom so if you are in a wheel chair, forget it. There is a price for everything including a Kleenex. Seriously though, do not go here. The office staff is overworked and confused to the point where they don't care about anyone. My husband and I waited for literally three hours for a pre-made appointment. The dentist was busy. Yea, but we had nothing else to do. I will never go back here and I seriously wondered if they used the same unsanitized instruments on me as they had on the previous patient. DO NOT GO HERE FOLKS!!!
PROS: FOR REAL? NONE
CONS:
