Dr. Kellogg's office is the best! I was really nervous because it had been awhile, but they were really sweet. After my appointment I got a card from the hygienist, Becky, reassuring me I did great. I couldn't believe how helpful the front office was. They were very accomodating to my hectic schedule.

I had the best experience at this office! The front desk staff was so polite and helpful with all my questions. They gave my son a gold token for the toy tower at his first appointment with them and he was so excited, he wanted to go back the next day!

Dr. Kellogg is awesome! He is very gentle. Great friendly caring staff. Office is great with kids too. Howell Dental Center is the best in Livingston County. Many of my friends go here too and just love it.

He is very gentle, caring and made me feel at ease. Ever since a child I had had a fear of the dentist. Now, I look forward to my visits.I have been a patient for over five years. I had a to go to a dental specialist in Ohio last year and they raved at the dentistry that Dr. Kellogg and his team provided.I feel very fortunate I have Dr. Kellogg and his team as our family dentist and can truly say the kids look forward to there visits.

I read a review on this page and had to tell everyone that Dr. Kellogg is a wonderful Dentist. I can't believe that these complaints are true. Dr. Kellogg is a big believer in pain-free dentistry and asked me several times during my crown proceedure if I was feeling any pain and if I needed any more numbing medicine. I have been going to Dr. Kellogg since I was a kid and now I take my own kids to him. He's a geniune person, not at all fake, and most of his patients become his lifelong friends. He never pushes you to have a proceedure done unless he thinks it is in the patient's best interest. If you only knew how often he works for free. He even takes trips to 3rd world countries each year working for free in terrible conditions for the poorest of people. I am very impressed with Dr. Kellogg's commitment to the less fortunate and to his commitment to excellence at everything he does. His staff is so nice to me and my kids. They love to go to the dentist, because Dr. Kellogg is so funny and loves kids. All in all he is a super nice man and an excellent dentist.

I was once a patient of Dr Kellogg. I left his care years ago and don't regret it.

Dr Kellogg has a bad reputation that follows him into South Lyon even. Working in a 10 person office...a new co-worker asked us about dentists and three of us all told her "avoid Kellogg".

Like the other reviewer said..."we cater to cowards" is a joke. I would complain of pain and get a reply of "oh, you can't be feeling this". Shots were painful enough (his shots feel like they go through your entire skull), believe me, when I complain of pain, I am IN PAIN!

I always felt like his Lab Experiment. I'd have "necessary" work done...then read in the paper shortly after how he just completed his training.

My last experience with Dr Quack: I needed all my fillings replaced, urgently. Hmm...none of this was needed when I had insurance. Suddenly, with no insurance...this needs to be done. $5000 worth of work. I had it done. Of course, I did hear Mr Money Grubber say to his wife/receptionist "I thought she was poor and didn't have money". Then I am pressured into purchasing a mouthpiece to fill with a flouride gel (and heard him order a hygienist "You better talk her into it").

After $300 of work on one tooth...he tells me "oh, you will need a root canal on that tooth within 2 weeks to twenty years", then leaves. It took me 2 weeks of email to get an answer to my question from him. Meanwhile...I did say to his wife I would NEVER get a root canal, she tells me she would never let me have the tooth pulled. Sorry honey, but I am the patient, I am the one paying, therefore you should obey the patients wishes.

THEN...as if $5000 work wasn't enough: "Oh, you need tooth whitening for $750...oh and we'd like to replace your front crowns, we can make them look better". When I said NO....the reply was "But don't you want to have a pretty smile?"

Right after that....I made my change to Charlick, Springstead and Wilson in Brighton. My only regret...not making that change years sooner!

I was seen by Dr. Kellogg for a routine filling. He managed to overfill my tooth and within 2 years my tooth had chipped and needed to be pulled. I was told by another dentist that it was because of his quick work. I was not impressed with their dentistry because their logo is "We cater to cowards" which I believe is completely the opposite. They didn't comfort me, nor listen to me when I told them it hurt!

PROS: Can get quick appointments.
CONS: Quick fix that brings you back to spend even more money.
