As a former student at WMU I loved Bilbo's. The food was awesome and the atmosphere was down to earth but lively. Its a great place to sit down and have some pizza and drink with close friends.
Although the old place I remember has since moved the pizza remains the same.

Bilbo's near WMU was the pizza place to go when I was a grad student. It was a fascinating place to grab a slice and a drink at noon, and sit with your peers and chat the afternoon away. The menu was interesting and fun (they were into the whole J. R. R. Tolkien Hobbit theme before the movies appeared), the beer was great, and music downstairs was wonderful. Unfortunately, this landmark closed and was replaced by a site on Stadium Drive, but that restaurant isn't quite the same. This other site on Westnedge was, we always figured, for the people in Portage shopping the malls. The pizza remains consistently good (though they tend to underbake the crusts slightly), but there is no live music. I tend to go there to get take out now. It's not a place to hang out.
