bad place to take your kid. its the cheapest around, but you get what you pay for. Staff would rather sit around and talk to each other instead of interacting with the kids. Kids always had snoddy noses, never wiped when i picked my child up. always running around doing free play, never learning a thing except how to hit each other and run into walls and things. Teachers were yelling at children, did not seem trained at all. always smelled bad when i walked in to pick up my child, was always cluttered and messy, did not seem sanitary at all. High turnover of staff, always new people there. would not recommend if my life depended on it. had my child there for two weeks and decided to find something much better.

Where do I start...? The director is lazy and sits in her office all day taking personal phone calls. She expects the teachers to do her paperwork for her. Children with communicable illnesses are left in the classrooms to be "watched", all while spreading their germs to the other children. Staff is paid minimum wage, with no benefits. How does a company expect to keep quality staff when they do nothing for them? No paid days off, no maternity leave or support. Staff members are lucky if they can get the day off while they are puking their brains out in front of the kids. Staff never knows their schedule until the day before, making it impossible for them to make plans or appointments. Most of the time the classrooms are out of ratio, with way to many children per teacher. Children are constantly being moved from room to room to attempt getting into ratio. Older children are left with infants, and children that are too young to be in a room are put there anyway. The toddler aged children do not have a playground and are expected to either play in a small sand box, or play on one of the few bikes that are available. The toddlers do not have any books and they lack quality toys. This is a poor excuse for a center, and I really don't see how it stays open.

My son had attended happy elephant since he was 13 weeks old. The baby room teacher is amazing, loving, caring, patient, and compassionate. She truly cares for the babies. The toddler room is also great. Teachers are attentive, caring, thorough, and very good with communication back to the parents. The director is outstanding. Takes good care of the kids and attends to issues as they come up quickly and appropriately. I have recommended over 12 kids and their family members who attend because of the care the kids get. I would recommend this center to any one.

The one thing to keep in mind as a parent is that you can't sit back and let things happen to your child, this is your kid and you need to be the strongest advocate for your kids. If you won't advocate for them who will.

Love happy elephant. Spread the good word.

My son was going there for almost a year and i was not very happy with the language he was starting to use, was not sure where it was coming from. and later i got it confirmed that screaming and yelling was going on in this center. I hope I didn't make permanent damage to my son by choosing this center.

My child attended this center last year and I was very disappointed with the director. She was very rude not only to me and other parents but also to the staff, she appeared to be lazy and would roll her eyes if a parent called while she was in the toddler room with her daughter and I recall many occasions while picking my child up, she would be making very personal phone calls while the pre school room would be in total chaos. I would have thought that her job as a director she would have better control, no wonder the children were always getting hurt!

We definitely have to agree with Christine F. 5 month old granddaughter only attended 5 days. 3 out of 5 were bad.. Was called at work twice, first time she had red scratches across forehead, were told she woke up with them . Were told by new daycare center director to cut her nails for she scratched herself and all the employees ( as if she ran around and clawed at them all).

Pediatrician did not believe scratches were from baby herself, too wide , believed they were from another attacker, probably the biter, which on the second incident we were called regarding a bite, ON HER precious little FACE, upper lip by another infant, ( suggest they either place all infants in either high chair, bouncy seat or walker when attending to others. ) Third and final strike was when I arrived to pick her up and heard her horrible sobbing, She only cries they had been told when she was either tired or hungry. Director sent in help, which was holding her, she had neither tried her pacifier or bottle. When I asked what was wrong, they stated" I think she is hungry, I asked when she was last fed, normally had been feeding her every 3 hours. they said 4 1/2 hours, she had been up from her nap for one hour. Duh! HELLO get a clue people. After just two short weeks noticed baby not being as happy as she had always been. VERY Disappointed in this center, Have since been told horror stories from several different people. Rumor has it some workers have even stated how much they hate their jobs. NICE,

Strongly suggest if you ever take your children there to drop in occasionally and also make sure they can speak so they can tell you what is truly happening. Be sure and ask what exactly they consider a toddler for there is no doubt , as Christine knows that toddlers are occasionally placed with infants. BEWARE! We have found a wonderful home licensed daycare close to home now where she is with just a couple of children, They absolutely adore her and she is once again the happy baby we know. My daughter attended this day care facility for about two weeks. This facility is not very structured, they let the toddlers run in and out of the infant's area and 'hang out' there if they like it. My daughter was very unhappy there. She spent most of her day crying. When I would stop to check in on her, I would often find her standing alone, sucking her thumb or crying. The staff was very unresponsive and rude to my inquiries. I pulled her out and started going to Childtime Learning Center where she is very happy and there is an excellent line of communication between the parents and staff.

This place is very nice. It is all around, there is more than one location and the locations are convenient. I took my niece there for a while and the prices were not outrageous like I feared they would be. Good learning experiences for the kids.
