Worst place ever. Great customer service until you place your order, once they have your money its all downhill from there! Cute shop, but not worth the stress, especially during planning your wedding. I told them my $375 hem needed to be shorter, they argued and said it was fine. I tripped over the dress walking down the aisle and all night trying to dance, it was horrible. All of my bridesmaids were so upset with the way the dresses turned out and the way they were treated too! I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, actually I called the better business bureau.. They were sooo rude!

Where do I begin? I read other reviews prior to this one and found such strong correlations with my experience. My wedding was September 8, 2007. I began shopping last fall, and was pleased to find that a dress I was highly interested in was to be premiered for a trunk show at Betsy's last October. I went, and was treated very well that day as the manufacturer's rep was also there to measure me, and help me personally with the dress. I was to be given a discount that weekend since it was the last day of their trunk show, and I was even happier to find that my bridesmaids dresses were also there...they were even going to cut me a deal with them. I thought that everything was going well. They seemed nice even the boutique was small, I was happy it wasn't a stuffy place. They told me my dress would take about 7-8 months. The bridesmaids dresses were done earlier, and were ready for pick up in April. They almost ordered the wrong style, good thing I paid attention to the style number as they were writing it. That was when everything went downhill. One girl's dress was too small, and they tried to tell me and her that taking the fabric from the bottom hem added on would make up for the 3 inch difference around the bust! They tried to tell me and her that she must've gained weight (which she didn't). They wouldn't reorder, or return money...or let her speak to the manager. Other girls were told the dress had extra fabric on the bottom swearing it wasn't the style to have it, never bothered to check the dress on the rack, and hemmed off the fabric only later to find that that actually WAS the style of the dress. Another girl wanted to hold the dress a little longer since she wasn't prepared with payment that day, they gaver her attitude and were rude telling her they don't hold dresses, but then when she paid the remaining amount they were happy to hold it for her. My dress should've been ready around May or June, right? I had to keep calling to follow up, people said they would inquire, and no one would ever call me back. "It should be in next week." End of July came and still nothing. That's 9 going on 10 months waiting! I had 6 weeks until my wedding and no one would find any tracking information. I am not an aggressive person as I understand the retail world, but I had to put my foot down. When I finally got answers, the dress was in; they told me later that the dress was late because it was the wrong size and they had to tell them to re-do it, but no one bothered to call me to tell me that. They said they don't want to tell brides. Alterations were quoted a price which I should've had them put in writing as they overcharged me at the very end with no warning during the fittings, which was another thing to argue about. Oh, and I loved having to write myself in their appointment books on two separate occasions. What's the point having appointments when no one goes in to help you get in your dress? Good thing I had my mom go in with me, but my mom had to figure out the back herself. I saw other brides and their mothers having the same problems, aruging about the same things I did. This review doesn't capture my anger and frustration with the lack of communication and organization of this so-called business. I am never one to complain, but for all the time and money you put into a wedding dress, one should expect better service. I have never in my life had such horrible customer service, and interactions with a business. I can name a couple associates there who probably are the main contributors to the random chaos, and unorganization there. I STRONGLY DISCOURAGE anyone from dealing with them. In comparing another friend's experience there, she had no issues except for them trying to squeeze more out of her for alterations...we realized that her wedding was off season and that may be the only reason why you might be ok to get a dress there. But seriously, the service is the worst imaginable and is entirely too stressful for a person to deal with on top of the rest of wedding stress... I could be a lot meaner but I am censoring my true feelings for public viewing. If you absolutely have to, be firm, get everything in writing, and be prepared to run the ballgame yourself (including writing yourself in their appt books, calling to check on your dress's whereabouts, and reminding them of who you are and what conversations you had with them). My dress lost its luster merely because of all the negativity behind it. I'm happy to be done with them.

We came here after going to many bridal places and not finding the exact dress we were searching for. At first the sales ladies didnt seem interested in helpingus out at all, they didnt ask when the wedding was, or anything about the preference for the dress. Then after us manually browsing for on the rack dresses, we asked to try on one dress. THe lady left us in the fitting room for us to figure out how to tie the laces on a dress that was 5 sizes too big!!! when i looked outside the fitting room she was no where to be found. She later on showed us a dress that we LOVED! We dicided to buy it. I put down the deposit which was half, adn she told us it was gonna be ready in the beggining of june, and the wedding was in august so we didnt feel pressed for time. June came, no one called. On june 20th we called ourselves and the dress was still not in, and no one bothered to call us and tell us that it was gonna be late. June 28th I decided to go there myself, and the dress was in. She didnt want to let me try it until we paid for it in full. I told her i will pay for it tommorow becasue i was not prepared to make a payment today! She refused and told me she wasnt in tommorow!(how does that have anything to do with the payment?) 2 days later i returned and simply picked up the dress, no alterations, no addtions, I WAS SICK AND TIERED OF THIS TERRIBLE SERVICE! I cant belive that the perfect dress for me had to be in this terrible place! I caent belive also that they are still in bussiness!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

This was one of the places on my list to check out for my wedding dress and ended up wishing I hadn't wasted my time. No one greeted me at the store, and was unable to tell who worked there or who was a customer. No surprise, no one helped me with my dresses, or helped me zip them up either! The store had an 'ok' selection, but certainly nothing special. Service was terrible!

I went to Besty's in hope of finding a dress for my wedding. I ended up having no such luck. I felt like the staff didn't do much to help me. In fact, they didn't evnn greet me when I came in the door. All the dresses were squeezed together on racks. I thought it was a mess. The dress I wanted may have been there but I would never have known.

Like most bridal places, Betsy's has a lot to offer for different price ranges. Practically anyone can find something here that suits their needs and maybe moreso. The inside is nice and not too overcrowded like other bridal places can be. Employees are nice and helpful.
