Hi: I just have to say that I just visited the Princeton Library. I cannot believe how rudely I was treated. If Princeton is wondering why everyone is leaving maybe it's because whenever I try to do anything there, people are rude. First of all, I waited at the front desk while the attendant, Darlene (I'm pretty sure that was her name) ignored me while she stood right there checking off books. Finally she turned her attention to me. They didn't have the title I was looking for (no big surprise, even though it's a New York Times Bestseller); she said they could order it. I explained I had lost my library card (a common thing!) she snapped at me, "You can't order books without a card!" And then just stared at me. So I, the customer, had to think FOR HER and say, "Okay, well, can I get a replacement?" She sighed and said, "What's your name?" She kept spelling it wrong. Then she snapped, "It's a dollar to replace it!" And again just glared at me. I just stared back like, are you kidding me??? A dollar! My gosh! I think I can handle a dollar. Then I wasn't even found on the system. So I just left. I have lived in Saint Paul for the past four years and the librarians there are the BEST. Sad that this happened at the library at all places. With so many people out of jobs, there are tons of people who are better qualified at this job than this rude woman.

Love this library. They have internet access, dvd's, movies, books on tape, tons of books to choose from. The windows look over the Rum River for a beautiful view of the river. Very nice.
