Great Staff and service at this store ! , Very knowledgeable , honest , bike enthusiastic group running this Erics.
The manager has been there a while and has helped me several times over the years when buying board/bike gear,- always gave sound advise . Recently I needed some help with a new fork for a DJ mountain bike project and stopped by because it was close.
Glad I did - The guy managing the bike tek dept. is top notch too !
This is where I now send friends and family for bike needs,

This is a response to the prior review. This was the second bike the customer had picked up, the first bike had some small scratches and the customer requested we get him a new bike which we gladly did. When the new bike came in both the customer and our staff inspected it very closely and found no cosmetic issues, the bike was in perfect condition. It did not have a dent in the frame.
After mountain biking the customer then found a dent on the frame which we are 100% confident was not there when the bike was delivered.
Erik's always works to provide every customer the highest level of service but we cannot be held accountable when a product is damaged from use.

If you have any questions of comments please feel free to contact us directly. sales@eriksbikeshop.com

They're a terrible bike shop! I recently bought a bike that was worth $2000.00 and when I rode it, I noticed that there was a dent on the top tube of the frame so I bought it in to have it taken care of. As a former bike mechanic/bike shop representative, I always have taken care of my bikes so they told me it was my problem and refused to work with me on trying to resolve the issue. Then they said I had to give back the bike and shell out $1650.00 (a 15% discount for a frame replacement) for a new bike that had a yellowish blemish on the top tube. I found this to be very unacceptable so right now I have a bike sitting in the garage that is worthless. Three words to describe this bike shop: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! I will never ever shop at this bike shop and will make every effort to inform others that Erik's Bike Shop does not value their customers, only getting the money from them.

GO else where for better customer service.

I moved here from Chicago last year and have been looking for a good bike shop near Edina. Last weekend, I brought in my mountain bike and my daughter's bike for a full tune up and tube replacement, respectively. The Mechanic was professional, direct, knowledgable, and not eager to spend my money which I appreciated. The receipt I left with estimated the cost for the repair including a potential parts allowance. To me this was a real value add because it gave me the basic and the potential cost based on their historical data. In service, it's all about customer expectations and they nailed mine. They were running a tune up discount that starts in a week or two and the Mechanic gave me that price without me asking. Again, excellent customer service = store loyalty.

They called me a few hours later and told me my daughter's bike was ready. I went in and while I was paying for it, the Sales Person told me about three or four bike trails in the area, showed me where they were on a map, gave me the pros and cons of the different trails, and wrote the names of them and websites on my receipt for reference.

The bike selection and equipment inventory is fantastic, with tons of choices for different price ranges, and special packages for different riders.

My mountain bike is going to take a few days for them to do and I can't wait to go back, pick it up, see what else they have, and learn more about mountainbiking here in what is about to become a snow covered land, I refer to as Narnia.

If I need a bike, equipment, or the local scoop on riding, I'm going beck to Erik's.

Since I had purchased my bike at Erik's, I went back looking for accessories. I was very disappointed to say the least, from the initial; "don''t bother me find a salesperson" reaction from the mechanic-guy, to the actual salesperson, acting like I may not wish to spend $40 extra dollars on a higher quality shoe. (I can afford whatever I wish to buy, thank you very much, but it won't be at any of their stores.) I'm off to find a new place that appreciates my business...

Erik's bike shop is a great store with all of your biking needs inside! They offer a nice selection of high quality brands and items. They have all the accessories you would need in addition to a lot of bikes! They carry shoes, clothing, helmets, gloves, and any thing else you might need. The sales staff are very knowledgeable and willing to help you get exactly what you need!

Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful, and they go out of their way to find the right thing for you or help you get it even if its not in stock.

Erik's can hook you up with everything from a basic bike to a skateboard to obscure bike parts. They're worth patronizing just for their great radio spots, though.
