Be careful not to take his "Panel Promotion" too literally. Mr. Burg must think his generic photos are worth the high prices he charges. We are glad to have any and all pictures of our child, but not when the process to complete the 3-6-9-12 panel commitment is tempered by rude, sarcastic comments about how he is only too happy to give special scheduling accommodation to customers that intend to or have purchased something. Everyone else is made to feel like an inconvenience, an interruption and a freeloader. (FYI---The promotion under which we visited his studio required no purchase) He also claimed that he had called our home when the panel was completed to let us know it was ready for pickup. Our Caller ID log going back as far as several months did not register such a call. And, speaking of calls, don't be surprised if messages you leave him aren't returned for several days---if at all. Let me say it another way, he takes good pictures, but nothing that can't be successfully achieved at home. My recommendation---buy a digital camera of your own or hire another photographer. WARNING-The panel template is not acid free and will damage your cherished pictures over time. A professional that I know and trust told me this. This serves as another indicator that Mr. Burg may boast "fine photography", but the quality of his "final product" presentation could use some "refining".

We went to Ron because of his 3,6,9,12 month portrait panel offer. Pros: he takes beautiful photos, and his shop is gorgeous, well set up and kid friendly. Ron is very friendly and is obviously experienced. Cons: His children's photo packages are extremely expensive. To order enough copies to share with family and friends you will end up spending a LOT of money. His family packages are even more outrageous. Also, we just completed our 9 mos. portrait sitting and I've noticed he always uses the exact same background for ALL the photos (not just for the portrait panel). It'd be nice if we could see something different for once. It also takes 3 trips to get your pictures - one to take the pictures, one to view the pictures, and one to pick up the pictures. In this day and age that feels like a huge waste of time. Conclusion: what makes a great photo is your beautiful child and their mood/expression - not over-priced photography.

Ron Burg studios is such a great find for us! I had portraits taken of both my grand-daughters-They are precious! More importantly the experience was totally delightful. From the moment we arrived and through the actual sitting my grand daughters were engaged, and frankly so was I. We were really made to feel like a million bucks, and in this day and age that kind of small town service is priceless.

Ron Burg's 3, 6, 9, & 12 month photo panel is phenomenal! He has an exceptional knack for working with infants and children. We have had all three of our older kids photographed for his first-year photo panel and it is such a precious keepsake. We just had our fourth child and look forward to having her pictures taken by him as well. We haven't seen a bad photo from him yet! And we've given him plenty of opportunity, with cranky days, sleepy times and subject being poked by an older sibling. His studio is set up well for children, complete with a play area for siblings near the photographing area. His props are fabulous, with plenty of variety as well as more tradtional settings and pieces. He is genuinely cheerful, easy to work with and full of great ideas. We have been thrilled with his work. We have and do recommend him without hesitation. Yes, he costs a bit more than Proex or Walmart, but he is TOTALLY worth it.

I took my daughter there to get her 3 month portraits (they offer a wonderful 3, 6, 9, 12 month panel). He was really patient with her as she was pretty crabby! But he allowed us to change her outfits and gave us great recommendations on what would look good and all of that. When we came back to see them he was very helpful and honest and the portraits (to my surpirse) were great! I was only surprised because she was so crabby! The only downside was that I had to leave a few messages before someone would call me back to reschedule my viewing but my picture order was done really quick!
