I have visited the Fixery on multiple occasions and have come away impressed each and every time. I??ve even taken a couple of friends and they were dually impressed. From simple watch repairs (adding/removing link, tightening band, checking a brand new watch for operation problem), to complex cleaning and parts replacement of 50yo watches, they have been fabulous.

The other day I took one my watches to Rosedale mall to get the battery changed. I figured that with all the jewelry stores and repair shops there, one of them would be able to help me.

And I figured wrong.

The repair person at Macy's wanted to send it away and charge who-knows-how-much, the gal at the jewelry store asked me to come back later in the week when their repair guy was in, and the little repair shop quoted $35 (!) because of the "liability" involved in working on a "high-end watch" (mind you, this is a Gucci quartz from the late-80s, worth MAYBE $150 -- definitely not a Rolex).

So, finally I went to the Fixery. They looked at the watch, brought it back to the bench, replaced the battery and charged me about 10 bucks. It almost took longer for Macy's to explain how complicated the procedure was than it took the Fixery to change my battery and ring me up.

No BS, no run-around, just good old-fashioned competence.

I have a 14 year old Swiss Army watch that I received from my deceased husband as a Christmas present, I love the watch! I had 2 batteries installed from the Fixery and had no problems. I moved away and tried to get a new battery and failed. I found jewelers that told me 1-2 weeks, 1 tried to put one in and scratched the special backing of my watch and the rest said they could on the phone and then wanted me to leave it. I went to The Fixery and in less than 5 minutes I had a new battery!! YAY!

This is a nice little shop that fixes watches and also has a small selection of watches and bands for sale . I Have been going to The Fixery for 10 years for watch repairs and batteries for my watches. You can walk in and and get your battery changed on your watch and it only takes a few minutes. Once in a while the shop will have a coupon in the HIGHLAND VILLAGER for half off of the cost of a battery replacement.

When my watch stopped repair i took it to all the shops like walmart target and sears .But noone couldnt fix it.Then i read about the fixery in Insider pages and decided to check out the place. The place was very small and old looking. But i got my watch repaired in just 5 minutes. The price was also affordable. Thanks to insider pages and the fixery that my watch got repaired. The person who repaired my watch really had a great knowledge about the watches and he did a great job.

PROS: Great service

This is a great place to bring in your watches to get the batteries replaced. The staff is friendly and knowledgable. They sometimes have coupons in the Highland Villager for half off battery replacement. The store is small and they have a small desplay of watches and watch bands for sale.
