We just finished sending out our wedding invitation that we made using Paper Depot's design assistance. We have had so many complements on them. They were really beautiful. Everyone was so helpful and they even showed us ways to save money and we were able to us their workroom and tools. Thank you Paper Depot. Megan and Justin

Excellent customer service! I have been a Paper Depot customer for many years and have always had a positive experience every time. The staff is super helpful, and they actually CARE! When it came time for me to make my own wedding invitations, they helped me make a sample and made every step of the process doable. I recommend this store to any newbie or seasoned paper person!

Ratings_icons Paper Depot Inc is GREAT

This is a great store! Their papers are fabulous - the Japanese papers are amazing- and they have a huge selection of trimmings, ribbons, and stamps. I found exactly what I was looking for, and had a lot of fun. The prices were extremely reasonable and the staff were friendly and helpful. I just loved this store!

POOR customer service. I'm not in the paper industry, as such, I do not know the lingo. I felt like a complete idiot every time I went in. A little help with a few key phrases would have made communication much easier, but the staff doesn't seem to have the time for you, especially if you don't speak in terms like "dye cut" and "card stock weight". Good luck getting there on the weekends, it is located right across from the Minneapolis farmers market, however, parking is fine once you make it to the actual building. Look for another paper store, the Paper Depot seems to hire folks with a chip on their shoulder.

Be prepared to be uncomfortable and feel stupid. Oh, and make sure you're dressed to impress or you're treated like a shoplifter. (shorts and sweatshirts need not enter)

I've been there at least 5 times in the last 2 months because we like two types of paper for wedding invitations. Each time we talk with a different employee who treats us like we are idiots and should know what to buy, how much and what it's used for.

My fiance and I bike there, and the last time we were there (with a back pack with helmets inside), the store owner followed us around the entire time. I'm not some 16-year-old trying to get a slushy and some smokes before running out of a convenience store. I'm getting married!

I went there yesterday by myself, and an older woman made it seem like I was wasting her time when I asked if there would be a discount on 200+ paper/envelopes.

Check this out: 56 cents PER ENVELOPE.

I finally left. I have the card stock I need. I'm going to have to search hard to find another paper store I can bike to, but I'll find it.

This place is expensive and the people here are downright mean. Shop online, my friends, shop online.

Ratings_icons A Bride's paradise!

Sarah C. | insider Insider | Rank: 31,645

As a soon-to-be bride, I went in to Paper Depot with a sample invitation from the internet and hopes of copying it for a fraction of the cost. I scored! Paper Depot had everything I needed - We placed a special order for the paper and it came in almost a week early.

Their selection of die cuts and rubber stamps is impresseive, as well as other embellishments and supplies. The staff is very knowledegable about all things paper - they whipped out the dimensions of our order in no time!

The only drawback for me was the size of the store and the fact that they only had one diecut press of the invitation folder I needed. I went up there twice only to find someone else using the press, which was frustrating because I live almost 30 minutes away. I think getting a few more of the invitation presses would be a wise move as I'm sure there are many brides that go through the same thing.

PROS: Knowledgeable staff, great selection
CONS: Diecut press shortage, crowded

This store is quite a ways away from my apartment, but every once in awhile it is fun to take a trip to shop there. They have very unusual papers there for greeting card making or for scrapbooking. This store is quite small but the staff is very good at helping you find what you "need" or "want"! It is hard to leave this store without a bag full! They do carry rubber stamps, envelopes, and all of the items that you can use for making greeting cards. It is not very easy to park close by because they have a farmer's market right next to it, so it is extremely busy on weekends, when we all want to shop. Paper Depot is definitely a store that you should not miss; you will be glad that you went there.

PROS: Wonderful selection of papers
CONS: crowded

You can't beat the selection of scrap book and invitation papers and supplies at Paper Depot. The scrapbook papers and supplies rival any big time 'scrapping' store and the invitation supplies - especially the in-house designed invites - leave any bride-to-be or new mom drooling for more. Don't expect special service or great business discounts, but overall the store's product speaks for itself.
