This Vet was able to help my aging basset in renal failure when no on else quite knew that all the antacids I was giving her were actually making things worse. No one one else caught it and she had seen three other Vets, one in a different state and another that wanted to do every (costly) test in the world on a almost 14 year old dog. There was one more nearer to he didn't get it either. She did fine after we adjusted her antacids and went with his advice. Her prognosis isn't good but at least she got some relief for her GI tract. The staff is great and the Vet listens to your wants as far as costs and is very gracious even when you are way off base. I have been looking for a Vet for a long time and I think I have found a clinic that I have confidence in.

If Thimerosal is of concern to you, please visit the FDA website, here and educate yourself about it. It is still used in vaccinations for humans, but has been mostly eliminated in vaccines for children under the age of 6. I have not visited this animal hospital, but upon researching one for my guinea pigs, I found the comment about Thimerosal and decided to do some research. I hope this is helpful. Here's the full link:

The staff and doctors at Suburban are excellent! We first took our dog there with a minor eye emergency and were just looking for some place close and open! The wonderfully kind woman at the front desk helped to "coach" our scared puppy into the exam room and was very patient and loving. We have seen 2 vets there, both of which are patient with our animals and all of our questions- they are never rushed and offer wonderful advice. Both of our dogs now routinely use this vet office and actually wag their tails there (unbelievable to me!). I can't speak highly enough of this vet office.

Regarding the posting about thimerosal in vaccines: the CDC reports that "No harmful effects have been reported from thimerosal at doses used in vaccines, except for minor reactions like redness and swelling at the injection site." I think this might even still be present in some flu shots.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL. I was very upset with the fact that this hospital administered vaccines (2 out of 2) that contain thimerosal(mercury) into my dog. I raised my questions and concerns over thimerosal to the staff in advance. Unfortunately they still injected the toxin to my dog. This could be handled totally differently if their staff was sharp, well educated and good at customer service. Nevertheless, they failed.
I don??t know what kind of mentality they have when treating dogs. If FDA stop using vaccines contain thimerosal on children, why do they think that it??s safe to use on small animals. Simply because they don??t talk? Or simply because they are not human. Not to mention that I informed them about my concern over the issue before the shots were given. When I called at 9 AM, they told me they already gave the shot. Only later when I picked him up, I found out that the shots were given at 10 AM. They obviously could have prevent it from happening. My very worse experience showed this place do not care about customers, do not care about our pets, staff were not well trained and lack of communications skills.

Thisis the vet I take my dog to. The prices are better than others and the dotors are all nice. They gave me alot of tips on puppy care. The wait is not usually that long as the doctor is very quick and effecient. I would recomend this vet over the others because it is fast and cheaper.

I took my cat here to be neutered, declawed, and to get his shots. Upon checking out several vets, this was one of the least pricey ones I came across. The staff was very pleasant and they took good care of my baby. This is a great place to check out for your animal's veterinary needs!
