Every Thursday or Friday night you will find a father and mother with their children enjoying the evening together. Several video games and pin ball machines provide entertainment while Mom and Dad relax in a booth nearby.

love this place....great burgers, fries and root beer!! ....AMAZING price.....cute neighborhood, the owner walks around talking to everyone making which show how much he cares and wants you to have a good experience at his restaurant

I have been coming to this tavern since I was a little girl, and the food seems to have only gotten better. If you're in the neighborhood and need an inexpensive bite of GREAT food or if you are seeking out the BEST Juicy Lucy burger in town....stop on in. I highly recommend the Juicy Lucy Basket and a cold beer. BE CAREFUL WHEN BITTING INTO THE JUICY LUCY THE FIRST TIME....cheese is HOT and can burn you. I have seen it happen to a couple rookies in the past, but it hasn't pushed them off of coming back for more.
They also do catering for picnics, and when I planned a work picnic everyone had rave reviews on the food. They were early for setup and cleanup was simple and quick!
Pros: Wonderfule food at small bar that not many know about!
Cons: Not many booths, so it can fill up on busy days!

I returned to this neighborhood watering hole after being away for 20 years. The ambiance hasn't changed since I first enjoyed a beer as a kid. This is a great time warp experience. The hockey game was on, the food smelled great, the people working there looked normal. You could almost imagine that Tommy would be walking in, or that Bender would yell to turn down the TV so he could extoll about Art Tatum. This is the place where Lurtsema ate goldfish for charity! It's a real old fashioned neighborhood beer joint! 48th & Chicago also has the Parkway Theater, Pepitos, the bakery, Star Moon Chinese and more.

A great family-friendly neighborhood bar. Adrian's has a good beer selection and even better food. It is also very close to the Parkway theater making it a fine place for after flick food and drinks.
Pros: Inexpensive, Great location, Classic arcade games
