SMM is one of the best science museums I have been to. Besides being a mom and science teacher, my advanced degree is in museology so I go to as many as I can find. Their temporary exhibits are incredible, from Body Worlds to Pompeii to Vikings. The regular exhibits that don't change are always fun, too. You can always see the fossils and extract DNA.

We love the Science Museum of Minnesota!

They have wonderful permanant attractions like the Art Park and Mini Golf, Dinosaurs, Mummy, Electricity etc... and at least 1 rotating main attraction. Currently it is Body Worlds. [Incidentally, this one is pretty gross, I didn't care for it]. They also have the Omni Theater which is amazing for watching educational films and documentaries.

There are great deals for free & cheap admision too! Of course check your local library for the free museum pass but also, if your family has Minnesota Care for Health insurance or if anyone receives WIC- you are entitles to a free membership that charges only $1 a person admission.

This exhibit was by far the coolest thing I have ever seen. The normal exhibits that are still on like dinosaurs and the farm stuff are very cool but don't compare to BOdy Worlds. Get there before Sept of 2006 otherwise you will miss out!
