I stop by often - and prefer Breadsmith over Great Harvest. The breads are tasty, crusty, interesting and they keep trying new things regularly. The "sweet" breads - my personal favorite is banana chocolate chip - are delightful and their egg raisin challa is unmatched in the Twin Cities.

Worth the carbs! Every bread I have tried has been delicious. Staff is friendly, helpful and efficeint. Prices are very reasonable (just a tad higher than gross packaged store bought bread).

Although this bread shop is not particularly outstanding for rolls or dinner breads, the other breads they offer are very good. The scones, muffins, and dessert breads are very tasty. Also, they offer free samples.

Usually if I'm in the neighborhood, which isn't a lot, I'll stop at Jamba Juice right next door, and then stop here.
Breadsmith isn't superior to other bread shops, but it's nice that it's right next to Jamba Juice for a nice breakfast compliment.
The prices are OK, and the bread is pretty good. But overall, if you're only in it for the bread, I'd go Great Harvest, where the service is friendlier and the bread is tastier.

Breadsmith had good bread - very "earthy" flavors. I personally prefer some other breadshops in town (Great Harvest is much better).

You do get a sample - but it's a small sliver.

Staff is not as friendly.

Prices are about the same as other bread shops.
