A friend of mine introduced me to this restaurant just before I was leaving the Twin Cities- I was sad I hadn't found it sooner! The food is great, plus it is very inexpensive. If you like Vietnamese food, or if you want to try an ethnic food for a low price, go here. They have wonderful noodle soups that are great on a cold day, or sandwiches.

Saigon is a hole-in-the-wall on University that's easy to miss, but serves excellent Vietnamese food at amazingly low prices. The menu is fairly small, but everything on it is well done, especially the pho or the special meatball sandwhich on a French roll for $2. You can either order at the counter for take-out or be seated with a menu. The decor is fairly sparse, but what it lacks in atmosphere it more than makes up for in the quality of the food.
