My top place for fresh olives! I don't know Joe, but whoever oils and spices the olives is a master. You can usualy get a good serving for $2.50 in the deli. The taboulie salad is delishious too. On the shelves you'll find most everything you'll need to make a meal. They have a modest, but suitable fresh food (fruits and vegies) selection.
There is a microwave and seating if your in a hurry. Joes is stocked with free newspapers and a bulitin board. The market is connected to a pizza shop and a laundry mat for all your collage life needs. It would be nice if they were open 24 hours, but if you get there before 10 or 11, it is definitly worth it.

Monday is Lebanese Omelet day.

Working in the Stinson/Hennepin area, I discovered Joe's during a lunchtime walk. On my first visit, I tried ordering the meatloaf, but was helpfully directed to the kibbi instead, which turned out to be terrific. I also sampled the yogurt, which is a bit like tart cream cheese, and pairs well with onion.

My second visit happened to fall on a Monday, which was when my life changed. I tried one of their omelets, which are a Monday specialty. Good Lord! Filled with that rich yogurt, onions, tomatoes, olives, a bit of olive oil and spices, and served at room temperature, these $5 treasures are one of my favorite foods.

Pros: Friendly staff, great food

Cons: Cramped dining area
