I can't write much because my experience here was limited and quite brief. I stopped in to inquire about a scuba refresher course. I found the (salesman? owner?) to be somewhat unpleasant bordering on rude, definitely not helpful, not particularly someone to inspire confidence or trust... I just didn't feel good about doing business there, so I left. I've dealt happily with Scuba Center Windsurfing for years and had just stopped into Adventure Sports Scuba because the location is convenient. I will say that the prices here seem to be a tad on the higher side: do cpmpare if you're going to shop here. The price quoted for the refresher course was also higher than what I got at Scuba Center. There are other choices in town, you can do better.

Pros: none apparent

Cons: rudeness, slightly higher prices

I stopped in there to rent some gear and they handed me a soaking wet octo (just got out of being used in the pool). When I asked if I could swap out the mouth piece for my own, they said no and told me theirs was sterilized. Hello? it was just in someones mouth 3 min. ago and their "sterilization" was a dip in the pool. After much banter back & forth they did let me attach my own piece. At drop off he tried to ding me for not cleaning it, but upon further inspection, he realized it was his own mayo from his lunch that made it dirty. Aside from that, they were not friendly at all. Totally combative, argumentative and not accommodating at all. I will NOT step foot in there again and will gladly spend the extra gas for a more professional establishment.

These guys did not service my regulator and charged me over $50 for nothing. They hung on to my regulator for over a month and finally told me it was ready to be picked up. When I inspected my regulator, it looked like nothing had been done to it. Still had salt build up all over and tear in mouth piece. They assured me that it was serviced and I had no choice but to pay for it.
Unsatisfied, I brought my regulator into Scuba Center in Eagan for a second opinion. They said that in their professional opinion, nothing had been done to my regulator. It was completely flooded with salt.
Don't trust Adventure Sports Scuba. What type of business takes money from people and lie about service rendered? What if I had trusted them and gone diving without seeking a second opinion? Needless to say I am furious.

I brought in my regulator to be serviced by Adventure Sports. A month later when I did not hear back from them, I rang to enquire. The person on the phone told me that nobody has had a chance to look at it. Couple of weeks later, I called them and they said it was ready....but when I picked it up, it looked exactly the same as it did before I gave it to them. There was salt buildup all over my reg and they did not do anything about it. I reluctantly paid the $50/- fee and then brought it to another Scuba store. The other place pointed out problems with my reg that Adventure Sports did not take care of; including a slow leak in my second stage. These people are incompetent and I will never go there again.

Stopped at Adventure Sports to buy a replacement mask strap, was very pleased with their selection and service. They are a small shop, wide selection, and very friendly service. They carry several lines of scuba gear, and accessories to boot. They say their out of the way location means lower overhead, and that is certainly reflected in lower prices.

PROS: Wide selection in stock. Good prices.
CONS: Somewhat out of the way location.
