False advertising via web site. Drove 45 minutes for nothing: picking season over (Oct 3) nothing for kids to do on Monday. Sad kids.

The location of the apple orchard is great! Lots to see
and do once your done with fighting the crowds in the orchard. (Head up 95 for a scenic tour of our awesome fall colors) In regards to the orchard, talk about spendy!!!
Not to mention the apples were tasteless. The advertised a "petting zoo" ....... what a joke. 2 sheep and 2 goats.
Not to mention these poor animals were without any food
or water. We did enjoy the fact that the winery was near by
and that was great. We choose to spend more time sitting
and watching people drinking a glass of wine rather than
spend anymore money on such a expensive place

I have been going to Aamodt's Apple Farm since I was a child. I still enjoy going there today. They have a great selection of apples and other apple products. In the fall, they have pumpkins and activities for children. Fun family place.

Aamodt's Apple Farm has a great selection of delicious apples as well as fun activities for children. There is a winery next door where you can sample local wines. The wines are delicious!

Aamodt's is a beautiful setting, but overpriced. We paid $10 for a bag to go pick apples, but the apple trees were already overpicked and what was left were very small, pocked, and not appealing at all. Although there was no admission fee, we had to pay to do anything on the property: $2/hayride, $4/pony ride, and they actually charged $1/person to let kids run around in hay bales or $2/person to ride a tractor trike! Seemed like price gouging to me. Although others have posted the staff was friendly, I didn't find that to be our experience at all -- when asking for clarification/directions regarding apple picking, the woman was actually quite rude, quick, and just kind-of shrugged me off. There also was no signage indicating where to pick, the cost of activities, etc. Overall, we had an okay time because of the beautiful day and the good company, but we won't go back again. We'll go back to Afton Apple or check out Pine Tree in White Bear Lake next year.

Pros: atmosphere, setting, location

Cons: cost, bad apples

I wish I had read the reviews before I went. First, most buildings that I noticed were not stroller accesible. This is a place for kids, of course there are going to be strollers! Second, the apple trees still had apples, but they were mostly wormy and split open. Third, the "petting zoo" was 5 animals in a big poopy cage. Fourth, I get that they need to make money, but they charge for kids riding TRICYCLES! Food prices were higher than the State Fair, but not as good. I was there for an hour and a half, and most of that was spent waiting in line for something. The staff was nice, but some of the customers, wow. A lady cut in front of me in line, and the staff member saw her do it. I thought it was an accident and asked her if we could have our spot back. Her response was that she was "in a hurry, so does it mattter if one more person is in front of you?", and the staff member LET HER PAY for the ride first and go ahead. That's when we just walked out. It was crowded, but I expected that because it was a weekend and it was really nice out. I'm kind of disapointed that I drove that far for a "fun" place that was more stressful than fun. Next time I'm going to Delano or Jordan. But, there is a pretty cool place that I saw on the way to Aamodt's, we stopped on the way back and it was much better, so the day wasn't a total wash.

Pros: Nice staff

We went to Aamodts because the advertisements all said that it was the best orchard and their website said they had all of these great things. First when we got there the parking situation was so awful that people were blocked in left and right when we went to leave we were blocked in as well. We walked throught the orchard and there was not a single apple on the trees to be picked the only decent apples were inside where you had to pay an arm and a leg for them. We bought 1 apple pie 4 apples and a soda for $18 I thought that was a bit much. The apple brats that they raved about were not good at all and very over priced at $4 per brat. I would not go back to this apple orchard next year.

we purchased some apple pies to be cooked at home(they were frozen)
I have been going here for about 20 years-yearly when my children were young.
the apples they used to make their pie were of different variety's - some were not a cooking apple-the pie tasted sweet sometimes and with the next bite-bitter.

This is a pronounced problem-others in the area have also complained-DON'T BUY THE APPLE PIES - PLEASE

Aamodts apple orchard is located in beautiful Stillwater. They have a great selection of apples and a bakery with different items that are delicious. There is a petting zoo that the kids will find fun. Also right next to the apple building, is a vineyard where you can sample different wines. Aamodts is a must go to destination in the fall.

I hadn't been to Aamodt's since I was 12 years old (many years ago). That was the only orchard my family had ever been to and after reading the "megamall" review, I was convinced that this was the orchard my family would go to this year. I was extremely disappointed on many levels. We were in and out of there inside of an hour and a half and that was pushing it! My almost 3 year old enjoyed a $3 pony ride that lasted all of maybe 2 minutes. The only thing worthwhile here, that wasn't even mentioned in the review I read, was the St Croix Vineyard which is connected to the Aamodt's apple barn. So, I got a couple of Christmas gifts but missed out on a pumpkin patch!!! Won't go back here - except for the wine!

Pros: Good parking, Easy to find, Quick trip

Cons: , Very expensive, NO PUMPKINS!!

Lots of stuff to do: ride trikes/tractors, pony rides, maze, tractor rides, picnic tables, apple picking.

Also other fun stuff: grape vines, wine tasting, apple brats and kettle corn.

Go early before the crowds come.
