This place has the most amazing desserts! I love the hazelnut latte as well! It's a great place to hang out in the evening or have lunch.

I can't tell you what the dinner/lunch is like, because everytime I come here, it is all about the cake. The creamy, decadent tres leche cake is my favorite, but the turtle chocolate cake is a close second. I like to come here with a group, where we each order something different, and than we share it. I haven't met a dessert here I didn't like. My only complaint is the hours at the gym I have to spend burning those extra calories, but it is totally worth it.

The food here is uncommon for cafeteria fare; they have awesome soups, sandwiches and salads. Their cakes, pies, and desserts are definitely their crowning achievement though. Sometimes, if you go around lunch time especially, the line can be too long.

They have just about everything from fresh sandwiches, salads, and soups to homemade pizza. Definitely a must!

All of the desserts here are delicious but the one that I must have everytime I'm in the neighborhood is the Vanilla Cheescake, its rich and creamy and topped with a sweet glazed jumbo strawberry! I've tried almost all assortments of pizzas, pastas, soups and lattes, its all "okay", desserts are what keeps me coming back and prices are very affordable The only thing I hope they can improve on is the checkout, I wouldn't exactly consider Caffe Latte a first time user-friendly place. After ordering your dessert on the pasta bar side, you have to wait for the people in front of you to go down that long pasta salad/soup bar (and most of them chit chat and think forever long about if they want something from the bar or not). Many friends that have gone in and said that the place is confusing because you don't know where to start with placing your order. (this is also a seat yourself place) Also, don't think about grabbing dessert and cutting the line to get straight to the register because the staff will literally bite your head off! I've learned that to grab a quick dessert, the other side of Cafe Latte (where the pizzas are made) is a much better option and you get out faster! Ps. There is always seating upstairs! Its intimidating at first because you walk in seeing crowds of people but I've never had trouble grabbing a table up top!

I went here with a friend for lunch. Neither of us had been here before, so it took awhile to figure out "how things work" (There is no menu board at the start of the line). The food is served cafeteria style, and you can choose from salads, pastas, sandwiches, and soups. We each had a sandwich, and we split a pasta salad. The food was excellent and the value for the money decent. Our only complaint was having trouble finding somewhere to sit. All the tables were full! We did find a spot, but this is NOT somewhere you go to be "alone"! :)

We have bought a few cakes from Cafe Latte and eaten there a few times--everytime we have had excellent service and the food is great! Their cake menu makes it really hard to decide on just one thing---everything looks wonderful (and it tastes as good as it looks!). We will definitely go again (and again...)

My girlfriends and I enjoy going to Cafe Latte. It's a great place to hang out with friends and talk. We love the soups, salads, desserts, and the steamers.

Would definitely go there again for lunch but not dinner. Didn't have the atmosphere I was looking for when it came to taking someone on a dinner date. They had a nice selection of desserts. Cafe Latte is in a great location.

This is a great place to grab lunch or even dinner. The food is fresh and delicious. The desserts are to die for...my favorite is the tres leches cake..to die for!! This place is al little busy though so be prepared to wait in line.

Cafe Latte is a hip lunch hangout. All the food I have there is delicious. Their desserts are excellent. I also like their soups, which vary. Not sure where to take a client for lunch? Maybe even the kids? Cafe Latte is the perfect place. They have affordable (although it could get spendy to eat there everday :P) , delicious food, and after eating there you will be addicted.

Cafe Latte has been my favorite place to go to for almost the past decade. I love their cheesecake and anyone who I share my slice-to-go immediately fall in love with the taste. Their Chicken Pasta Salad is to die for and I love the setting. It's a lovely casual place to go with friends or on a date. Anything on their menu is actually quite delicious. Definitely recomment everyone to visit!

Such great food, and great-looking food, that you're likely to eat so much that you won't have room for dessert. We ate lunch (the spread sampler is fantastic) and took an hour to walk around the neighborhood, visiting all the shops, and then came back for dessert. The best chocolate cake I've ever eaten, bar none.

Cafe Latte is wonderful for lunch and dinner but we were disappointed with the breakfast selection. Basically quiche or pastry were the only options.

A little-known great deal @ Cafe Latte is the daily "Afternoon tea," including a pot of tea, various sandwiches, scones, cookies and a piece of your choice of cake for $10.
I make sure to visit this awesome cafe (with a great location) every time i find myself in MN.

cafetaria style restauraunt is busy with lots of people .but it is having really great especially pizza ,salad,sandwiches.Chocolate truffle which is my favourite is really best.Desserts are fantastic.the best is having two level facility with lots of space.Location is very good.In all it is excellent but it is over priced.

Other things are overpriced here, but the desserts here are real standouts and not to be missed if you get a chance to try them out. Watch out, too many trips will add a few pounds to you, but ultimately, very delicious.

Cafe Latte is a wonderful, ecclectic, comfortable restaurant located on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul. Their food is delicious - with many different options. Soups, salads, and sandwiches are available through the main line - along with delicious coffee drinks. There is also another counter towards the back of the restaurant with frish brick oven pizzas and a wonderful selection of wine. Of course, the most important part of your dining experience is dessert - and Caffe Latte doesn't come up short. The selections are amazing - I have yet to try one that I haven't loved!

Cafteria style restaurant with seating on two levels. Right on grand ave. sometimes hard to find a close place to park. Great for sandwiches, soups, etc and their deserts are wonderful. Made in the restaurant and cater for some events. Great place for lunch or coffee and desert after a show.

I used to live a block away from Cafe Latte -- which made it very hard to resist daily! The lines can get very long, especially during lunch and dinner hours, but its worth the wait! The sandwiches, soups, salads and spreads are all wonderful, but the desserts are AMAZING. The Turtle cake and German chocolate cake are especially unforgetable, but the blueberry-lemon torte is also fabulous. Check this place out -- you'll love it! Park in the ramp off Victoria, Latte will validate your parking

This oversized 'coffee shop' is famous among locals. They have some great desserts including their cheesecakes and turtle cake. They also serve soups, sandwiches, spreads, salads, gourmet pizzas and wine for lunch and dinner. I recommend trying the $1.00 chocolate truffles and the chicken liver pate.

First off, of course the desserts are magnificant! The Turtle Chocolate cake is my favorite. I have friends that drive up to half an hour just to take a slice of cake home. Choices of what cake to try shouldn't be your only concern though. Cafe Latte also has various selections of pasta salads, soups, spreads, and your able to order your sandwich just the way you like it. The salads are inventive along with some of their soups, and their sandwich options don't include wheat or white. I'd call this restaurant an urban cafeteria. Parking and be akward, and the line can go as far out as onto the sidewalk, but if you've ventured to grand on a busy night or weekend you this shouldn't be a surprise.

I've been to Cafe Latte many, many times over the years and it's always fun to come back to. My most recent visit, with my mom, led us to the pizza served at the wine bar in back. Crisp crust, light on the sauce, lots of ingredients. Mom loved her Chicken Pesto pizza, and my Italian Sausage & Mushroom was very tasty. A tossed salad was uninspired and the low-fat honey mustard dressing tasted medicinal -- but there are so many other options! Try the dilled eggsalad, or a spread sampler, a scone, or a hearty soup -- and be sure to top off your meal with the Turtle Cake or your favorite cheesecake.

Cafe Latte is so unique that in this most un-touristic of cities, it is worth a visit. Wine bar/cafeteria/desert cafe, it defies description or definition, and though one critic sniffed that the deserts are passe, they are both visually impressive and delicious.

If you can make it past the dessert case to see the lovely savories that are offered, then you will do far better than I did on my first visit. From salads, to soups, to sandwiches and beyond. How about a bit of each? The sampler platter is fabulous. Did I happen to mention the cakes? A very generous serving of chocolate turtle layer cake. Perhaps the raspberry creme cake. No matter what your choice, the pleasure will most certainly be yours!

ALOT of variety - cakes, pies, tortes......but I am a sucker for sweets anyway. Some cakes are very rich but still soooo good, I don't think I have ever finished an entire piece (cause they slice them so big!)

Caffe Latte is unique in that you can have dessert and or pizza.. a drink...EVERYTHING. I like that is has a nice variety, but yet it's not so generic and sterile. I enjoy going to this place because of its ambience, variety of food, the seating is nice, and of course the raspberry torte. The desert selection is "large" but...it is also limited in a way. It's located in a nice area to, which makes going there fun.

Cafe Latte has it right -- life is short so they display desserts first! Their Turtle Cake is so rich and chocolatey (who cares if that's not a word), you'll positively swoon! Other fantastic desserts include yummy cheesecakes and various tortes pretty enough to grace any entertaining table. If, after sampling the freshest and bursting-with-flavor salads and soups, you still have room for dessert -- live it up! Even if you don't usually "do" buffet-style dining, give this one a try. You'll go away stuffed but grinning from ear to ear!

At this stand-in-line-to-order restaurant, you move along the line through stations: sandwiches, soups, salads, desserts, "moo" drinks -- they're all delicious. I recommend the spread sampler.
