My daughter and I made an appointment at Our Shop in preparation for prom. We were treated as if we were not worthy, and I was instantly uncomfortable. Despite that, my daughter found a dress that she loved. We purchased the dress with the same kind of cash that "worthy" people use. It was twice the cost of my own wedding dress. My daughter picked up the dress when it was ready. It was hanging and covered in plastic, which we expected. She came directly home. When we uncovered the dress, it had a 3" pen mark down the front. This dress had been ordered. It was not a "sample". I immediately called "Our Shop" to report the pen mark and request problem solving. I was told that the pen mark could not have possibly happened when the dress was in their care, and, in a nutshell (in a rude demeanor, of course) too bad so sad. No problem solving possible. I am the mother of six. This dress was purchased for my oldest daughter. I will never return for any of the at least 12 proms yet to come, or for any of the 6 weddings in our future.

I called and left a message regarding making an appointment the next day. After not hearing back, we stopped in since we were in Stillwater. NO ONE welcomed us when we came in and they still had the CLOSED sign on the door, even though they had been open for an hour. After looking around for 10 minutes and still not being helped, we left. They called me 5 minutes before they closed for the day to try and schedule an appointment with me. Needless to say, I will not be going back. HORRIBLE AND RUDE!

My husband and I were walking by Our Shop in Stillwater, MN on 3/20/11 and noticed a lovely dress on display in the store. We both went in to check it out. This was going to be a formal dress to wear at an all inclusive resort in Jamaica and the colors were perfect. We go in looking at the dress for a while then I look on the racks to see if any available. Then, we go back looking at the dress. This whole time the two clerks at the register one around 50ish the other one around late 20's did not even acknowledge us. I had to walk up to them and ask about the dress. I asked if there were any in stock. The 20 something said, yeah, in a size 2. This was rude and she knew there was no way I was a 2. Then I asked how can I get one. The older lady said well we can order one but that is if they have any in stock. WTH! These two idiots were so rude and with the economy how it's going just did not care to make a sale. Arrogant, rude, this place is. So, the dress was $329, I left and shopped and spent that at other local Stillwater establishment's that know what customer service is all about!

After making rounds at numerous wedding shops in the twin cities area, we had made some appointments and had some stops without. We were treated very respectfully and never turned away on this quiet midweek morning at ever single stop regardless of couture dresses or not. Then we came to your store. We were not prepared to experience the rudeness that we did. Upon entering I made my way to the desk ahead of my girls to state we were from out of town and wondering if we could take a look at a few dresses while in Stillwater. Instead of hearing "I'm sorry, we go by appointments only" or "unfortunately we will not be able to allow that today" or "Thank you for stopping but unfortunately not" which we would have expected and respected, we were given the most horrifying look from the sales clerk that left me speechless. She stared at me (not one word spoken) with a "how appalling" look as I nervously stated we were from out of town again. While standing there with this frozen VERY UNFLATTERING look glaring at me...awkwardly I stated.."By the look on your face, I would say it is a "no". Then in a tone that reeked of disgust she uttered one word "ok" and turned her back to the three of us. Not in "ok" you may look but in "ok" you get the message! We were shocked and caught off guard that anyone would act like that to potential customers. So Mrs. Owner (below review) either know how your unattractive (inside and out) sales clerks are treating potential customers OR if that was YOU behind the counter that we experienced, please know this..the "offensive odor" we experienced when we entered your store was the most pleasant part of opening your door. I have always told my girls "MONEY DOES NOT BUY CLASS" ..the actions today in your store couldn't have been a better example.

After reading a negative review of "Our Shop", I am writing the my first online review I have ever written.

There are not many shops left anymore that take superior care of their merchandise and treat customers with such professionalism. Perhaps the negative reviewer has never had the opportunity to experience this level of service.

I tried on about $10,000.00 worth of dresses the last time I was in the story. I can't say I blame the staff for expecting their customers to take the same level of care with these gorgeous gowns as they do! These are not samples likevyour local mass-produced bridal shops.

My daughter and I have made several purchases there, including her bridal gown and two formal "mother" gowns for myself.

The experience from selection to fitting far exceeded our expectations. It is one of the best memories we have of her wedding experience. No detail was overlooked.

I have sent several friends to shop there who all had great experiences, including a bride who got her wedding gown off the sale rack.

Personally, I can't wait to have another special occasion to have another excuse to go back.

This is by far the worst shopping experience I've had in a long time. The people at Our Shop were incredibly rude. I bought dresses on sale because they were a good deal, but I really, really hated doing it. They put my sale dresses in a GLAD TRASH BAG. Are you kidding? We asked if we could take them hanging and she laughed at us (yes, laughed) and said that they don't hang sale dresses. I couldn't believe it. I'm walking around Stillwater with these nice dresses in a trash bag! I mean these items all come on hangers to begin with. Kohl's gives you their items hanging. I know they were on sale, but that doesn't make me an inferior customer. Even girls who like a good deal get married sometime! Their whole demeanor was tacky and disrespectful. I understand wanting to keep your dresses clean by asking clients to wash their hands, take off their shoes and jewelry, put a mask over their face and have an attendant help them with the dress. I do not understand snippily asking me to do those things as though my very breath were toxic and I was just looking to damage their items. She asked me to wash my hand twice as though I were a child and hadn't done it the first time. They snapped at my mom for drinking water while seated in the waiting area - no dresses anywhere near her. They could have just asked. Also, since they make you take your jewelry off and they take it out of the dressing room, which is pretty unusual, they should give it to you right after you've finished. My mom forgot all of her jewelry and we had to go back. Also, I interacted with 4 or 5 of the associates in this small store and they all acted this way - like I was getting in their way and a poor customer.
