The staff at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic is so good that I made the trek from the Twin Cities to bring my cat Chachi to Dr. Marcia Bisel to be neutered. Dr. Bisel and her staff did a great job, were very welcoming, and were willing to answer any questions I had. Great vet clinic!

When it was time to put our dog to sleep, Cannon Valley Vet Clinic sent a vet to our home so that Queenie would feel comfortable. She was able to pass away in my arms, surrounded by her family - human and animal family. It was also good for our cat and other dog to be there when Queenie died. They were able to say goodbye too. What a wonderful service! It helped us say goodbye in peace - not a clinical setting.

I have been taking my cats to Dr. Bisel at Canon Valley Clinic since I moved here 9 years ago. She does a nice job explaining the options for care and giving me the information I need to make a decision. I had a cat that no vet was willing to exam. When I moved here and brought her to CVC, Dr. Bisel was able to keep her calm and do a full exam. When my other cat was sick last year, she explained the options for care without pushing me to choice a particular course of action. She gave the pros and cons of each approach. With the care she provided, he made a full recovery. All the staff I have worked with are very caring and professional. I highly recommend the clinic.

I am one of the vets at Cannon Valley Vet Clinic so obviously can't provide an objective review! :) However, we are happy to answer any questions you have, give a tour, and we will be honest about our prices. We make recommendations and provide options of what we feel is best for your pet, but allow you to decide what services will be done. We get large numbers of clients referred to us by happy customers, as well as many clients coming from the Twin Cities area because they find a great value and excellent and accomodating service and care for the cost. Most of all we hear the comment that our clients feel that we really care them and for their pet and communicate clearly with them regarding all the options for their pets' care.
As as side note, the building behind ours is a separate business and does not affect our prices.
We would love to have you visit us and form your own "review" of our clinic! Thanks!

Cannon valley vet is only worried about getting in money to pay for that new building in the back, with high prices (I called two other local vets that were much cheaper) and terrible people that work there pretending that they care!

We had been bringing our dogs to another vet and threw a friend heard about Cannon Valley. The first day we went they were great with our dogs and family, they explained everything in detail before doing anything to make sure we all understood, they spoke to the dogs as they were doing exams etc. wich was great to see they weren't just pulled around and given shots and done. They were great. After our female was spayed they called to check on her 3 times. They never pushed us into doing things we couldn't afford or made us feel awkward or unknowing like some vet clinics do referring to their specified doc talk for procedures. They didn't make it seem hurried they spent the time needed for us. I loved them and will refer more people. :)

Today on 4/24/08 I took my cat Jack to Cannon Valley Veterinary clinic for routine teeth cleaning. When I picked him up from the vet he was already in his cat carrier and they told me that he had urinated a little so they gave me a towel to put under the carrier.

When I got him home he was still groggy and I let him out, he was entirely soaked in urine half-way up his body. When I called to complain I spoke first with the vet who had cleaned his teeth she was apologetic, but said the had been aggressive and they didn't want to deal with him so they put him in the carrier before he came out of anesthesia. I asked why they were afraid of a 12 pound cat who even now as I write this (three hours later still pretty subdued and out of sorts) and why if they were going to stick him directly in his carrier no absorptive material was put under him.

She said that she thought this was on oversight but all they could offer me was an apology and she thought no further recompense was necessary. I asked to speak to her supervisor, he was very brusque and inflexible saying that he thought that his clinic was the best and so were his staff and that they don't make mistakes. I then asked him if he thought it was fair that I was sent home a cat soaked in urine, and he said that it was better because in the past they have had cats die when they tried to clean them when they are upset.

This really made me upset because I had to wash my cat and when I did he was breathing very and making weird sounds, and all I could think was I almost killed him, and they sent me home with Jack soaked in urine and didn't warn me that I could kill him by cleaning him up. I then did shout some obscenities curse at David the owner because I really don't understand how any of this is"okay" and can be considered good customer care.

Were they just going to console me if I called and said my cat was dead because he had a heart attack when I washed him?

It's just so upsetting. The owner David then finished by saying he really didn't have time for this and he was sending me my three cats medical information so I could find another clinic and then he hung up on me. This makes me feel like I'm the crazy one and that it's completely unreasonable that I feel upset even when he admitted that I could have killed my cat by cleaning it and that's why they didn't, and they didn't warn me that I could kill him, and instead sent me home with the problem, like all of it is my fault that somehow I caused my cat to urinate on himself.

I really want my money back and I really want others both people and their beloved pets to not have to suffer such arrogance. I am going to tell my friends about this experience so they know not to take their animals to this clinic. I really can't tell what's important to David the owner, I think it's money and not customer's or their pets and that's so upsetting and disheartening.

I appreciated the apology from the Veterinarian Dr. Bisel and that she was sincere, however I feel like I was treated very poorly by the David the owner and I no longer feel comfortable taking my animals to his vet clinic or supporting him in anyway.

I do not feel that it was right to send my cat home soaked in urine, when I was given no warning that Jack would be soaked in urine and that I would need to clean him, especially after the owner David admitted to the reason that they did not clean him was that they were afraid they would kill him. Basically putting all the risk on me and not even warning me that there was a risk or that I would have to wash my cat. Had I known I probably would have just set him up in a room without furniture and let him clean himself and not risked potentially killing him, but it wasn't until I talked to David hours later that I found out that this was even a possibility. Luckily Jack did not die, but I really really do not like that I was lied to (first they said they were unaware that he was soaked in urine, and later David said that they didn't wash him because they were afraid they would kill him). It was just really a truly horrible bad experience. Sorry to jabber on this much. I d idn't expect to be treated so poorly, I thought they would be understanding.

About six months after this review, someone...I can only conjecture from Canon Valley Vet Clinic also tried to get this review taken off. Just a little more proof that they care more about their own "butts" than at least they cared for my cat. Also I tried to work out my disagreement with the Better Business Bureau, but the staff at Canon Valley Vetrinary Clinic wholeheartedly bonded together and lied throughout the process.

My dog was hit by a car and she had a broken leg. Typically we take our animals to a different vet but due to the injury and serious of what happened we took her to Cannon Valley Vet. The staff was great, they meet us at the door, helped us in and made sure we were taken care. They were busy with other clients, but with the multiple doctors they were able to help us with the emergency and make sure we received the best of care. They also knew I was working on a limited budget and worked with me to take care of my animal.
I also appreciate how they went out of their way to explain what was happening and how they helped me understand the options. I would recommend them completely, we have switched all our animals to Cannon Valley Vets and now our dog loves coming in even if it's just to visit.
Price wise, they are a great value and they understand the needs that I have as a dog owner.

The staff and facilites at CVVC are great but the bill that I was met with when I picked up my dog after a simple paw wound was not welcomed. They had done xrays that revealed nothing and an exam (which should have come first!) that revealed a cut that needed topical cream. Seemed like the wrong approach to a simple problem that cost me more than it should have.
