The temporary exhibits at the Walker are a huge draw. It's currently Frida Kahlo and it's awesome. They offer wonderful talks too. My favorite part will always be the outdoor sculpture garden which is always free. It's the best place to spend a summer afternoon. The giant glass fish fills me with awe.

The Walker Art Center is an excellent modern art museum. It is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Remodled just recently, the museum is now much bigger and includes a Wolf Gang Puck restaurant. While some of the exhibits may seem to be "too" modern for some, the museum gives a wide variety of what modern art entails. The Walker also offers classes, tours, films, and lectures.

This museum offers so much more than most - a beautiful sculpture garden (the spoon is everybody's favorite!), music shows in the summer, film festivals...definitely worth checking out periodically to see what's new. They have a neat trailer type home outside that was designed by a pop artist that you should be sure to see.
PROS: Constantly changing gallery inside
CONS: Not much convenient parking

If you love art, Walker Art Center is a must see. It is unbelieveable. The staff is warm and friendly. They always greet with a smile. I love coming here and every time I do, I see and learn new things. I can't get enough of this place. It is wonderful. Breath taking art to say the least.

Then, you must see the Walker Art Center. There is a new art showing often, and the "house" items are always an attraction. I like to visit with my daughter because we are bothe painters. We like the inpiration and the time together. Find some time to visit the cinema and then dine at one of the WOflgang Puck restaurants. It is a sure bet to please ... lots of mind candy as my daughter would say.
