I should have read reviews before purchasing from them. THEY HAVE THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM !\n\nWe custom ordered a crib and a glider which was going to be delivered to the store in 3-4 weeks. When they called to say the merchandise was in, my wife called back to confirm. The following week I rented a vehicle with my stepfather to pick the merchandise up.\n\nI showed up with a vehicle I rented only to find out that one of the items that I expected was not even delivered to the store yet. The Manager said that they never said that the chair was there when my wife called back to confirm our delivery was in and that my wife was mistaken. \n\nI was annoyed but since I rented the truck already my stepfather pulled into the back and I loaded the huge box for the crib into the truck. We asked again if there was anything else, like a chair back there. The dock worker said hold on a second and then said NO after receiving instruction from a female worker (who I assume was the Manager). \nAs the garage door was closing we assumed this transaction was done, shut the lift gate on the truck, and left the parking lot. We gave completely enough time for them to tell us we were missing something, but they failed to do so.\n\nMy wife got a message the following Monday saying that ?I drove away without getting the rail conversion kit for our crib?.\n\nSo I called to speak with the manager about these two incidents. \n\nI kept saying, think about this logically ?Why would I spend money to rent a truck to pick up my items if not everything was in? Wouldn?t I just want to do it once?\n\nOn the second note, ?Why would I drive away with only half of my order?? ?Do you think I really want to come back again??\n\nShe basically tried to place all blame on us and not accept any responsibility for the two mix ups when both incidents and tell me it was my wife fault and my fault and my stepdads fault.\n\nSpread the word that these people are TERRIBLE. If you have a problem, they will not fix it, but rather tell you that YOU are the problem. Not the way to do business in this competitive world. \n

I shopped USA Baby because I wanted to shop a local alternative to the big box stores. I was impressed, at first, by USA Baby's selection and prices. However, I would not recommend this store to a friend because of their poor customer service and dirty store. The majority of the sales reps I worked with were uninformed about the products and features. I did my own research, which was fine. Then after ordering an entire bedroom set, stroller, and car seat - and spending a few thousand dollars - I expected better communication and customer service afterwards. After all, shouldn't that be their strength over a big box store? But no. I always had to call them to get a status update, and over a 3 week period I got 3 different answers. I wish the service was better, I wish someone at the store took some pride in their sales floor and kept it clean - this business has so much potential.

Revised on 2/14/11: I have downgraded my review of USA Baby from "Wouldn't Recommend" to "Unsatisfactory." It has been 15 weeks since I placed (and fully paid for) my furniture order, and I have yet to receive the furniture. Not to mention, I still have not received an accurate estimate of when the furniture will arrive. The story keeps changing. I can understand that some delays are out of the retailer's control, but this length of delay is unacceptable - especially since USA Baby has not been able to inform me of when the furniture will be arriving to me. They place all the blame on the furniture manufacturer, and I do not feel they are trying very hard to bring resolution to this for me. I am always calling them for updates, even when they say they will call me back, they never call me because "they are too busy." That is a huge pet peeve...as if the rest of us aren't busy?

My experience with purchasing a car seat from here was very positive. I drove an hour to get here because they were the only baby store to actually carry some of the high end car seats I was interested in. I worked with Terri, who told me the ins and outs of the ones I was interested in. I inquired about receiving the price I had recently seen online and she said they'd be happy to match that. Much better to buy it in person than order online and wonder about shipping damages and if you'll like it once you get to try it. Very slick transaction and I'm one happy customer!

Near the end of February in 2008 we purchased a "Lee" child's bedroom set from USA Baby in Richfield, MN. We were promised delivery in 10-12 weeks which seemed exceptionally long at the time but as it was the piece we wanted we felt it was worth the wait. The delivery was delayed multiple times without notice from USA Baby. As our delivery dates approached and passed without communication we called the store to determine what the problem was only to be promised a later delivery date. On September 17th, 2008 we took possession of our long awaited bedroom set though not to our satisfaction. The bed was not as described and damaged during shipping. As this was a custom order they have refused to accept a return and are unwilling to offer any compensation. I will never shop at this store again.

They have a pretty decent selection of merchandise (different than the chain stores) but not so unique or upscale as the boutique stores. The store is in a dilapidated condition and its not fun shopping here.\r\n\r\nService is poor and many people dont know much about the products (not what I expect from a premium priced store). The registry is useless. The website doesnt have a useful description of what people are buying or a picture of it. When we received two items from the registry, there was no notice of who had paid for what. I had to call the store to find out who bought us what. Then I realized that our registry has not been updated. I emailed the store and then followed up with a phone call asking them to update the registry. Didnt happen - we have a baby shower coming up in a few days and I'm worried I'm going to receive duplicate gifts.\r\n\r\nUSA Baby is a major disappointment. I've received more attentive service from the big box chain store.

My experience at usa baby was great. They have lots of variety if you are looking for baby/childrens furniture , as well as car seats and strollers. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

I cannot believe I went back there today after other not so great experiences with the staff and their complete lack of customer service skills. I was there to trying out the stroller I've been planning on purchasing for months now. I'm almost 9 months pregnant and I have a 2 year old. I need a durable double stroller and the particular one I want is $429.99 + how ever much the accessories are, which is a question I asked, but never got answered. I was going to spend over $600 in there today, yet the sales people could care less. They don't know anything about anything and after I asked my questions to one of the extremely slow, lazy salesperson, she told me she'd check it out for me because this was a new stroller that they have never carried before and she didn't know anything about it. Me and another woman were sitting there reading through all the instructions and trying to figure out how to fold the strollers down, add accessories, etc. and instead of helping us the 3 people working in there were sitting there together talking to each other and not doing anything else. The questions I asked the sales associate never got answered for the hour I sat there trying to figure out how the stroller worked even though the sales associate was able to see me struggling from her vantage point. Mind you, I am almost nine months pregnant with a toddler, why exactly would I be wasting my time in a nasty, dirty store with rude sales associates if I wasn't intent on buying something? Not like that would be a reason to ignore any customer in your store, but still, I ended up leaving after an hour with no help and did not purchase the stroller. I will be calling corporate USA Baby tomorrow as well as the stroller company to let them know what kind of store is selling their strollers. If any of you have any other ideas of getting my point across to USA Baby and their staff, please let me know.

We bought our daughters nursery set at the USA Baby in Richfield. The Armoir was not in satisfactory condition. When we called to have the piece of furniture replaced they were very difficult to deal with. You can go to their web site and get on their email list to be notified of the sales. They have a number of hard-to-find and unique baby products also. The prices are reasonable (not a great discount). It's a small, some-what cramped store and during their big sales it's a mad house. Come prepared to wait for a parking spot in their super-small parking lot and to wait in line to check out (sometimes 30 people deep). However, go there when there's no sale and you have the place all to yourself!
