I went here looking for a new lightening cable for my iPhone and left was the worst taste in my mouth. Sure, they had the lightening cable at a great price. They also had horrible sales sales that I overheard calling one customer a ret*rd.

I walked in looking for a laptop. I walked out without one. It was not because they did not have what I wanted, it's because the sales team is rude, disrespectful and they lack in professionalism. I was blown off twice; once by the general

Having been a customer for a long time. Although I know I can buy products on line for less money, I liked the fact I could walk in, buy what I needed without having to wait for it to be shipped to me. This is the first time I have ever had a problem with any of their products. Now that I have a problem I am finding out just how bad their customer service is. I bought a motherboard from them 5 months ago. It came with a 3 year warranty. When it went bad I took it back to the store. They told me their exchange policy was 30 days and I should contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer told me to take it back to the store. Now I have a defective product, and no support from the store or the manufacturer. It is my opinion that customer service is where a company lives or dies. I can buy products anywhere. It's service when there is a problem that tells the customers if the company is worth doing business with. Now that I have found out just how bad the customer service is at Microcenter. I see no reason for me to ever go into one of their stores again.

In the last year I have purchased two computers from Micro Center, Mpls.
When Dell refused to honor an up grade commitment on one of the computers, the store Mgr. Chip Kemppainen went out of his way to honor the commitment.
I"m in customer service myself, and I can appreciate the excellent care and attention Chip and Dustin have given me.

I had a PowerSpec computer with a failed optical drive. MC replaced the drive under warranty. A few months later the optical drive failed again, but the repair center said it wasn't the one they had installed before. I knew no one else was inside the machine, but nothing could be proved. They showed me their records and even double checked them for me. Regardless, they compromised and put in a new drive for the cost of the drive (no labor or diagnostic charge). Later the hard drive failed. They did many diagnostics looking for some other failure such as a power supply with no luck. In the end they didn't charge me for the diagnostic, they gave me a replacement restore disk (in case I wanted to replace the drive myself), and they gave me data that I could use to get the PC replaced via my credit card's insurance plan (which I did). Micro Center has always been a great place to work with when problems arise. They are objective and helpful.

I really like Microcenter for purchasing my computer hardware. I build my own systems (and repair others) and can easily find the components that I need at a fairly decent price.

I don't like the fact that their sales associates seem to be paid on a commission basis and half the time, I think I know more than they do. But I do like the fact that I can order something online and pick it up at the store.

Micro Center is pretty much a good computer store secret. They sell only computer stuff! The service is great, the selection unbeatable, and bargains available. They are the only store to have an entire Mac section. The Power Spec MicroCenter brand makes a descent custom computer. I've also purchased a Battery Backup, Webcamera, and Headphones. All have worked out great.

Purchased a Laptop 4 months ago, brought it in for 3 repairs on 2/21/07: computer would not start up, computer kept locking up, and CD/DVD player kept kicking out (had to wiggle drive tray to restart). Customer service called 3 days later and said nothing was wrong with it and fixed nothing. Picked it up on 2/25/07, I have used it for 3 hours since, computer locked up twice, had to wiggle the drive tray to restart once, and now it will not start up again. I am bringing back in again today 3/3/07.

Microcenter is an acceptionally great store ,the staff are always willing to help you if you look confused about something and the selection is just great,many brands to choose from and you won,t leave the store without something,I'm sure! Oh yes,the prices are out of this world too!
