I have only had one pedicure in my life, and it was so horrible I swore I would never do it again. After finding a coupon on this website, I though I would make a go of it again and get my toes pampered. I saw Kelly, and was very happy with the massage and kind conversation. After fearing the worst, I will return to Accolades again. Maybe I will treat myself to a manicure as well-who knows? :)

I am a poor college student who goes to St. Kates, and decided I needed a facial for my horrible acne :( My roomate told me about Accolades, and since I could walk there I decided to try it. Carissa gave an amazing facial, and I bought two of the Arigato skin care products (Razzed is so awesome!) My acne is starting to get much better after only 2 weeks-thank god!

From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted with a smile, warm towel (great on a cold day), and a great cup of Aveda tea! I was only here for a quick brow wax, but holy cow! I will be back again for sure

Usually a barber-shop kind of guy, I wanted someone who had experience with men's haircuts. I was referred to Rick by a relative, and he did an outstanding job. I have a lot of cowlicks, but he was able to cut it just right. Thanks Rick-I will be back in the future

I colored my own hair at home, and it was a disaster! I needed a quick fix, and found Accolades cause it was in the neighborhood. I had an all-over color (a chocolate brown) and it was just what I needed. Next time, I will not turn to the do-it-yourself method...

I went here to get a brazilian wax by Angela after reading the great reviews. This was the most I have ever paid for this service. She missed a lot...

Dear Editor, they do not offer body wraps or straight razor shaves so please fix that because I believe that is false advertising. Also, went to get a facial from a gal I do not remember her name and all I have to say is during the entire facial I could hear the music coming from the salon, the room looked dirty and the sheets seemed very stained. How can one relax when all they hear is outside music and everyone in the salon talking. I would not recommend this place at all for a relaxing experience. This place is not pretty and is not relaxing or comfortable at all!!!

I loved my hair cut by Jenny! I am excited to get my Bridal hair done and make up done there as well! This was my first time there! Unlike other salons-Phresh and Aveda where it feels like a high school social time party---or snotty atmosphere--I was greeted right away with a warm towel and tea. Then when they washed my hair they gave me a wonderful massage and great eye treatment...and even a free supplement!!! I was really impressed and I can't wait to go back as well as bring my bridesmaids there to get there hair and make up done!!!!! Thank you Jenny:))

I got an Accolades gift card for my birthday and decided to get a massage. Wow was I impressed! I have been a marathon runner for years and have always had massages, but none like this. I felt confortable and relaxed the entire time-I will be back again for another in the near future!!

After gardening all day, my nails were a mess. I was desperate, and needed a manicure badly. I was able to get into Accolades right away on a weeknight, and had the best manicure I have ever had-including a wax dip that left my hands so soft!

I usually go to a barber and get a regular-old buzz cut, but this time I grew my hair out and needed someone to do something different. This place is always consistent in scheduling and with their stylists. I have been seeing Pada for almost 3 years, and she always knows how to do my color and cut just the way I like it. Living in Santa Monica, I had been seeing my same stylist for over 15 years. When I visited my sister in MN, I decided to "cheat" on my stylist and see someone here. I called around and found Accolades, and David K. I got a nice cup of hot tea AND a complimentary facial with my haircut-I couldn't have been more surprised and pleased! He was a gem-I wish I could bring him back to Ca with me!

I had my brows done the other day, and was introduced to the owner and her own line of skincare products called Arigato. I ended up buying the whole line, and in the few days I have used it I have noticed a change in my skin already. If anyone out there is looking for a truly organic skin care line, please try Arigato!! I am so excited for more products to come out in the future

I was in the area and needed to buy some products. I stopped in and a nice gentleman named Benjamin helped me. I needed shampoo, conditioner, and some hairspray, and he not only showed me some Aveda products but also Intelligent Nutrients (I didn't know they carried it!) I ended up spending quite a bit, but it will be worth it in the end for my hair. I will be sure and try some services at the salon the next time I am there :)

I decided to try this place out for a spa service after reading the reviews online. I have to tell you I was very disappointed. When I called to make the appointment I was told it was with the owner of the salon. I don't know if it was the owner or not but the esthetician I worked with was very sloppy, rushed me through and didn't listen to me at all. Also, I have to say I question the hygiene of her station. Definitely, will not be back.

Being new to Minnesota, I searched online for a salon and someone good to cut my hair. I found Accolades online, and decided to make an appointment. I was referred to Jonny by the girl who answered the phone, and he IS the man! I got a great facial AND a shave (which no one ever offers anymore) I felt great when I left!!

Looking through my mail the other day, I came across a coupon from Accolades for 30% off services. I had my hair cut and colored there before, but never a pedicure. After calling to find out about their nail services, I decided to try a spa pedicure. IT WAS AWESOME! I was so relaxed, and the massage chair was a plus... They had a lot of polish colors to choose from, and I got a fun summer pink! Go to Accolades for pedicures-you will not be disappointed!

I was in the area for a baby shower and desperately needed a mani and pedi. I work in a hospital and never have time to take care of myself, so I thought this would be a nice treat. I was able to get in the same day (a Saturday no less!) and the girl who did my nails (Kelly) was very nice and pleasant! Thank you for the great service-I will be back soon!

I was looking for a new salon because my old stylist moved to Michigan :( I looked on Google and typed in Salons in Saint Paul, and Accolades came up. I decided to try it, even though I had never been to an Aveda salon before. From the minute I walked in I was offered a mimosa, a warm towel for my hands, and a seat on a super comfy couch :) My stylist was knowledgable and through, and offered me some referral cards for my friends which is great!

I usually feel confident booking an appointment sight unseen at an Aveda concept salon, since most are professional. I was shocked to find this one really dirty--it didn't look like hair was being cleaned up after appointments, and many spots looked like they hadn't been cleaned in some time. I had a nail appointment and the nail station was cramped, uncomfortable, outdated and stained. Now I know "Aveda concept salon" doesn't guarantee quality.

I don't know what happened to "Kufahl14"', but here's my story. I sent an email to the salon saying that I have very straight hair, am growing out a super short cut, just coming from DC and nervous about finding a local stylist. I asked who at the shop would be best for me. Brad responded saying that he was the man for the job-- and I should schedule an appointment. I did, for 10:00 today (Saturday). At 9:00 someone called to say Brad was "out of town" and they don't know when he will be back so I couldn't reschedule with him. I still travel to DC a lot, and so guess I will keep my stylist there. But, I'm very disappointed.

I went in for a foil and cut and came out with a full sensory experience! First, when I decided to dramatically cut my long hair by 12", the stylists provided me information about how to donate the hair to cancer patients who receive wigs made out of it. To celebrate, I was offered a delicious mimosa! When it was time for my hair to process, I was treated to a luxurous foot bath complete with moisturizing, aromatheripeutic oils. While washing out my hair, they placed a hot towel under my neck as it rested on the sink basin - I then got a scalp massage and a mini-facial. Meghan, my soul-sister stylist, cleaned my skin with some exclusive facial products designed and created by the owner. She applied a gentle toner, light moisturizer and finally compresses for my eyes. I never wanted her to be finished washing my hair! Once my hairdo was completed (and looked worlds better than I'd ever imagined, after Meghan creatively "went for it", as she said), the experience was finished off with a "touch up" by the makeup artist. ALL of this was completely complimentary, given to all who come to Accolades. I can't wait to go back!

I loved having my hair cut with Jake. I called wanting someone who wasn't too expensive and then worried while driving to the salon that I would be getting a novice.

But, it wasn't the case! Jake is a true artist and enjoys what he does. He gave my hair more attention than it has received from anyone in a long time. I could really tell he enjoyed what he was doing and he was fun to talk to.

I loved the perks like the mini-facial, warm towel on your neck, back rub, and the extra long shampoo. Plus, I had a grapefruit mimosa to start off my Friday night.

Make an appointment with Jake-- you will not regret it.

I travel all over the country and when it comes time to get my hair done I use Citysearch. It has never let me down and this time was no exception. I have never been to a salon where I felt so spoiled. My stylist, PaDa, was incredible. I do what I usually do - ask if I told them to do whatever they want with color and cut what would they do. PaDa told me ? it sounded great and I let her have free reign. PaDa did not disappoint! Beyond having a great stylist, the salon spoils its clients in ways that were surprising. You are offered juice or mimosa when you arrive. When they wash your hair you get a mini facial, neck and head massage. That is not all - while you wait for your hair to process you get either a foot soak and massage or a hand massage and paraffin wax treatment. Then, when you hair is finished the most incredible thing is still to come! You are introduced to Benjamin. He does your makeup! Not only that, but the salon owner has developed a skin care line that is fabulous. PaDa and Benjamin both recommended products - the ones PaDa used in the mini facial and I have not been disappointed! They are 100% natural and work!!!!! And ladies, Benjamin will tell you what you should be wearing on face, show you how to do it and you leave the salon feeling beautiful! You know how when you finish at a salon and your makeup is no longer fresh - your hair looks and feels great - but your face...... Well at Accolades you leave looking and feeling wonderful ? hair and face! And ladies, listen to Benjamin ? his experience and knowledge can only benefit you. Having a professional show you how to put on your makeup is one of the best beauty secrets one can use. Benjamin is also a masseur ? unfortunately for me I did not take advantage of his massage talent, but the women that did looked incredible! He also did their makeup after the treatment. The mini facial, hand/foot treatment and makeup were at no additional charge ? now that is the way to treat your clients!

The first time I went to Accolades, I did not have a very good experience. However, I did find out that stylist has moved to a different state. I decided to try Accolades again and it was WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL. I saw Meghan, who was so nice and considerate. The whole experience was great from the beginning to the end. While my hair was being processed, I sat in a massaging chair while my feet soaked in a whirlpool bath. My lower calves and feet were then massaged with oil. The BEST was when I was getting my hair rinsed. The hot towel behind the neck is beyond relaxing, but then they cleased my face and put a hot towel on it. To finish it off, cool pads were placed on my eyes. Couldn't ask for a more relaxing experience. Meghan was knowledgable and did a fantastic job at coloring and cutting. I will definately be returning!

If you are an African American woman and you want to get your hair done professionally, theres a great place called Accolades Salon & Spa located at 2065 Randolph Avenue in St. Paul, MN.

When I first walked into the salon I was treated like royalty. The receptionist was professional and welcoming. She treated me with such warm hospitality during my first visit by offering to take my coat and then providing me with coffee while I waited for my stylist.

My stylist PaDa was prompt and had a professional appearance. I took a seat at her styling station we then struck up a lively conversation while she was foiling my hair. PaDa then accompanied me into a medium size room that had several full body massage chairs. I sat in a 5-motor massaging lounge topper that gave me a full-body heated massage; she then placed my feet into a warm bubbling foot massager and offered me a Mimosa drink.

PaDa explained that I would be seated for 20 minutes while my hair was taking to the color. I carefully sat back sipped on my dainty champagne flute glass while browsing through Glamour Magazine. Needless to say, I felt like I was in heaven.

Next PaDa accompanied me to the washbasin where she placed a warm soothing towel on the back of my neck, provided me with a deep cleansing facial meantime rinsing the color residue from my hair. She then placed me under the hair dryer for a 10-15 min deep condition. After that, I sat back at her hair styling station where she began to blow-dry, cut, straighten and style my hair.

In my opinion, Accolades Salon & Spa is well worth the money you spend! It is very hygienic, clients are treated with the utmost respect as well as the atmosphere is magnificent. It is one of women lifes pleasures to get excellent hair care and be pampered at the same time. Need I say more!

I am new to the Twin Cities (recently moved from Boston) and trusted the CitySearch reviews to guide me in finding a new colorist/stylist.
I found him, David K.
My cut and color made me feel and look great. Thanks David!
But wait, it wasn't just a cut and color, as David explained to me that his job was to progress me to the "new" level of salon care, he called it a "sensory journey" For the next two hours I experienced the ultimate in being taken care of in a salon. I left looking good, feeling good, and, with a bit of knowledge about taking better care of myself.

What an incredible experience. David K is wonderful. I felt important the moment I walked in the door. From the hot towel in the waiting area to the incredible scalp massage during my shampoo, this place is all about the little extras to make you feel pampered. I haven't even mentioned the mimosas and David's secret stash of chocolate truffles. I'm a working mom of three little girls. When David heard this he even threw in a parafin wax for my tired hands. I haven't even mentioned the best part yet. My cut and color were the best I've ever had. I now have an adorable haircut that is great styled or just blown dry and left alone. I can't wait to see David K. again!!!

I came to Accolades because of the offer 50% total savings etc. I was greeted by two really cool really sweet girls at the front desk. They gave me a hot aroma towel for my hands and offered me a mimosa. Not a bad way to start anything. Brad had two assistants work on me. I guess he owns the place so they hang with him and take care of his clients. I received a hand treatment from the two of them at the same time while he cut my hair. When we colored it they put me in the massage chair that sits over a pedicure tub ( they have 4 of them) i am bringing my friends. Anyways they soaked my feet and gave me a foot treatment while my hair was doing its thing. This place is incredible !

I saw the owner Uncle B and it was amazing. I recieved a hot towel shave and facial that was out of this world. I then got a haircut that was just as amazing. Don't get me wrong it was not cutting my hair it was the complete experience. I received hot aroma towels on my neck and face during the shampoo and had hand treatments from both of his assistants while my hair was being cut. I have never been so waited on and the price was not sky high. In addition they started my service with a Mimosa and I ended it with a hot cappucino that was all complimentary. Accolades is an amazing place and it is mostly because of the people that work there. Thank you for the experience I will be back!

I have had long dark hair for the last 3 years that happened sort of by "accident" - I wanted espresso hair but it kept getting increasingly darker although I was having it down at very expensive high end salons,,,I was also told that to have it lightened I would need to bleach it. I didn't want to ruin my hair so I just left it dark. Brad at Accolades saved me! He used a treatment on my hair that lightened the color without bleaching it and it came out absolutely amazing! My hair feels so soft and healthy and the staff at Accolades treated my like a Queen! I was so impressed that I couldn't wait to write a review! Brad you rock and I will be back! Thanks!

I am from LA and have been getting my hair done by the same person for the last 5 years. I moved to Minneapolis for college two years ago but did not risk taking a chance in Minnesota and getting my hair ruined by someone I didn't know. I am sooo picky and sooo protective of my hair, that I wouldn't dare trust my hair in someone else's hands! But, it really just started getting ridiculous because I would have to wait so long to go back to LA and get it done again and my hair would start to look so bad with my LONG roots. So I went online and tried to find a good salon and came across Accolades. I called in and was able to get an appointment in half hour! Sweet! I have really long curly hair, and I get it highlighted (full foil). I have dark brown hair but with the highlights my hair looks goldish. I got an appointment with PaDa. Not going to lie, I was really nervous but she seemed to know what she was doing so I was able to relax. Turned out, I LOVED my hair even more than when my stylist does it back in LA! She was very particular (like me) so I like that A LOT about her!! And she was so great about cutting my hair because she truly gave me just a TRIM. My old stylist was one of those scissor-happy people so I would get a trim for 6 months at least because she always cut too much. Once I didn't cut my hair for almost 2 years! I can't wait until my next appointment, seriously!! My hair looks GREAT!! I completely trust PaDa (plus she was a lot of fun to talk to) and Accolades now! I am so thrilled with my hair that I want to maybe try out a couple different stylists at Accolades to figure out who works for me the best. I love the fact that I can walk into ONE salon, and experiment with several stylists and know that either way, my hair is going to look good and I don't have anything to worry about it! Who else would you recommend to highlight and/or cut long, dark, curly hair? I dont mind getting highlighted by one and cut by another.

I found this salon online and after reviewing all these great rating I decided to try. I went there twice:
The first time I had an appointment with Brad (the owner) and his assistants to color my hair. They did good job not spectacular though just OK.
The second time I had appointment with David (color) and Amber (cut). My color was below average none of my gray hair were covered and the charge was 150$. Hair cut by Amber not that i expected from all ?way to go amber" reviews.
Believe me i am going to salon every 2 months and I color my hair quiet often but this place is just OK. However the staffs are friendly and charming.
To me the professional job does not match the high price they charge.

I have been to many Salons and often feel a little like I am visiting a club where I am not a member. Not so at Accolades. I am very picky about my hair color and had recently wanted to make a big change.

David K is a miracle worker. I really let him choose what he thought would be best for my skin tone and features and he did a wonderful job. He is funny, yet really listens, That great balance of technical skill, caring customer service and sense of humor.

I am hooked. I can't imagine going any place else! They exceeding my expectations.

My experience today with Jen A. absolutely amazing. I have kinda tricky hair and I have been trying to get it back to a natural, healthy, texture and color. Jen A. was very thorough while doing my color consult. She was very honest about what she thought would look best and what to stay away from and I absolutely love my hair color! I am pretty picky about having natural looking hair and I told her that this is by far my favorite color and style that I have ever gotten. An extra bonus to my experience was all of the pampering that I received from her! I felt like I was getting the royal treatment; paraffin hand dip, feet soaking in a hot tub, hot hand towels, hot towel under my neck at the shampoo bowl! She was absolutely amazing. My cut turned out just as amazing as my color! She was very precise and made sure that my cut was perfectly even. Go see her! She's wonderful! You'll leave feeling refreshed and renewed.

The power of tons of great online reviews is what drew me to Accolades Salon. I went in with hair that was past my waist, ready to chop it off and donate it to Locks of Love. When I called, the man recommended Amber, who was super awesome! I am not a person who gets regular hair cuts - my hair is pretty healthy, not processed, and I usually grow it out to donate it again after the initial chop off (usually well over 12 inches is cut off every time; it grows crazy fast). Anyway, Amber was comforting to me (I don't think she sensed I was nervous to chop off my hair and have the shortest cut I've EVER had) and was just really knowledgable, realistic, friendly, complimentary and humorous! I loved every minute of my appointment - the scalp massage and scented hot towels were great, not to mention the Aveda products and overall service were fantastic! What really impressed me was that Amber understood what style would be best for my hair, i.e. length in relation to shape/features of my face and that Amber took her time with me even though another client was waiting. I brought in a picture too, and she matched it almost exactly! I have never had a stylist that even pretended to know what he/she was doing and I've never had results like this! Amber, thank you so much - I have been loving my new, short (but shoulder-length) do, and all the options that I have with it. I'm so not used to making hair appointments, but Accolades is somewhere I definitely will continue going to. I'm calling Amber next week! She's inspired my first regular hair maintenance in 10+years!

This was my first visit to Accolades. I moved to the twin cities four years ago and have been salon hopping since. A good friend knew I wanted a stable stylist and she recommended Rachel. Accolades, specifically Rachel, offer exactly the type of service you hope for. Rachel was able to "get the jist" of what type of cut I was looking for. She offered her advice based on my hair type, face shape, daily routine, etc. and made suggestions as to what might work well. She even took the time to show me how to recreate the look at home, with the tools I already own. The whole experience was positive and I love my hair. I've had a similar cut for a while now, but none have been done so skillfully. The entire experience was classy without being pretentious and relaxed without a mess. I am happy to say that I have finally found "my salon." Many thanks and Kudos to Rachel!

I read so many reviews on here about Accolades, and when paired with a special "crappy economy" deal they were running, I couldn't avoid it any longer--and now I think I'm hooked. My stylist Rachel did everything she could to make my experience relaxing and enjoyable. The place was pretty empty and I had her undying attention for 2.5 hours for a partial foil and cut. She sat down with me and discussed my hair history and I told her I was open to suggestions. She gave me some great ideas and totally understood what I did and didn't want. My blonde hair doesn't hold dark pigment well so she told me if her lo-light attempt doesn't hold she'll do some other color work complimentary, which I totally appreciated. But I have every faith it's going to hold. The cut made my extra thick hair feel so much lighter and look great. All the extra things she did for me made it feel like a little spa escape just getting my hair done: tea, aromatherapy, foot bath, foot massage, scalp massage. Overall, Rachel made me feel like I mattered to her, and that makes the biggest difference for me. I never write reviews but after my visit to Accolades I want everyone to know what an amazing salon it is. I haven't been able to afford to do much with my hair in the past year and I was in real need of a hair cut and some color. I have had some so-so experiences at other salons and was really looking for a stylist that would sit down with me and help decide what was best for me. I found that at Accolades. After reading the amazing reviews I called and asked for a consult with David. He was unbelievablely nice and totally understood what I was looking for. I made an appointment with him to cut and color my hair and on the day of my appointment he remembered me and was just as excited as I was to do my hair. He was by far the best stylist I have ever had and I will definately be returning. I LOVE my hair so much i can't stop looking at it. The price was just as I was quoted and I definately appreciate that, but I would have paid more. My whole experience at the salon was heavenly. I had my eyebrows done Carissa and she was amazing, my eyebrows are fantastic. Also I really loved the makeup artist Ben. Thank you so much Accolades I can't wait to come back.

This was the most phenomenal salon experience I have ever had! I wish I could give 10 stars for the services I received yesterday from David K.! This was my first visit to Accolades salon and I have to admit I was very nervous. I had been going to a stylist for the past 3 years to have my hair highlighted. After 10 years of highlighting my naturally brown hair to a pale blonde I was ready to return to my natural color. I should note that in the past 10 years of being a "blonde" I had tried to go back to my natural color once and it was a disaster! I have very pale skin and my hair was dyed an awful shade of inky black that took a year and several treatments to return to blonde. I was so afraid this would happen again so I researched the internet trying to find someone who could get me back to my baby brown color. I read the reviews about Accolades and David K. and I made an appointment. I admit, being cautious by nature and very picky when it comes to my hair, I was still hesitant pulling into the salon yesterday. All of my hesitation melted away the minute I walked into Accolades. The front desk receptionist was so kind and attentive. She took my coat, offered me a warm beverage (or a Mimosa :) and made me feel right at home. And then I met David K. and my worries melted even more. What an exceptional stylist. I can't say enough! He sat down with me for like 15 minutes to discuss what shade of brown I wanted to do. And then once I decided on the shade he waited a few minutes to make sure I was ready and didn't just run off to mix the color. He took his time and my hair turned out PERFECT! It was exactly what I envisioned. Seriously, my hair looks so natural like it did before dye or bleach ever touched my hair. David K. is a truly a hair color genius! Not only is he a great stylist but he is such a lovely person. Thank you so much David for a wonderful experience. I will be returning to have you style my hair for years to come!
