I love any establishment that seems unaltered by time, and this one takes me straight to the thirties (or even the late twenties). Even if you don't bowl, stop by to have a beer at the bar and to absorb the atmosphere. I understand that the Ran-Ham has been used for filming period movies, and no wonder!
It can also be rented for private parties; a friend had his fiftieth birthday party here, or I would've never known about this place. Truly unique and worth a visit!

Pros: Bowling like your grandparents might have done it!

Cons: If you like "modern," this isn't your place!

This place has a lot of character and is very funky. The bowling here is lots of fun. It's also a blast from the past, with its retro feel. It is a great bowling place for all ages.

The Ran Ham bowling (located on the corner of Hamline & Randolph - THUS - RANHAM) below the "Nook" is a blast from the past! It's a retro bowling alley, without meaning to be. I love going here for a cheap round of bowling and a nice cold Grain Belt Premium. My son's class of 3 year olds took a field trip here - great for kids too. Would make a special birthday party!
