I buy for a weekly work Chinese lunch. Been doing it for over 3 years. We had to switch restaurants recently due to our regular place relocating/remodeling. We have been looking for a good replacement restaurant. We most recently tried Hunan Garden, since it was 'voted' the Best. Here are our results:

- The 'big' lunch portions are the least we have seen in town. This is a real factor, when you are splitting a meal, or hoping to save some for your 'at work' dinner meal.
- The egg rolls which are "bigger than anyone else's", are the same size as the other restaurants, drip more oil, and have less flavor.
- The lunches which are "between $6 and $7" were all magically $7 when I got there to pay, when I was also informed that Sesame Chicken is $8. Compare to our previous averages of $6.25 at our favorite restaurant, and $6.80 at the other recent attempts.
- The meals came in the cheapest styrofoam containers we have encountered yet. ROYAL MESS!!
- Three of the orders came with Crab Rangoons.... 1 cup of Sweet & Sour Sauce. We work together, we're not in a commune.
- Group comments: "The Broccoli is all stems." "That's a lot of breading on that chicken." "Where are the sesame seeds on my Sesame Chicken?"

No matter how many times the staff told me they were The Best Chinese Restaurant in Town, our whole group unanimously disagrees.

Went once. Won't go back!

Hunan's is a good place to stop and get something a little different when the family is tired of the same old same old. I enjoy that is a little spicier then other brands of take out.
