The pizza/calzones/strombolis are all really good. Their dough is really doughy and soft, which I really like, but if you're not into the whole sports-bar environment, it's hard to really enjoy yourself. It's impossible to ignore all the plasma tvs which are everywhere broadcasting sports. The service has always been good, but the food is pretty expensive.

OK. I like the great beer assortment and the card program that Old Chicago offers. As for food, it's fine food, but not exquisite. You will have to pass it up if you are looking for anything very fancy. The service at tables is ok...could be better. The few times I have eaten there, it seems as though it takes effort to get service. However, I can't say that the service is any worse than other bar/restaurants. The bartenders, however, are friendly and usually very busy. Overall, the staff is helpful, although not overly friendly. The place is clean and well tended. If you're in a real hurry, this is not the place to eat. But if you've got some time and want to relax in a very down-key type of place, this is it.

Pros: Part of Uptown's busy life

Cons: Parking can be a hassle

A favorite place for lunch or dinner- Flexible menu affords both! It's your basic bar & grill or american food type restaurant-- nothing remarkable there. But the food is good. I am partial to the loaded burger and my wife always gets their turkey stomboli and Loves it. Their seasoned fries are unique and great but the best part is their HUGE homemade cheese cake. You cannot eat light here! We are not drinkers so I can't comment on their famed beer flavors but the rest is a good eats kind of place.

This place has a great atmosphere, almost like your typical sports bar. Food is like every other sports bar, but very affordable and big portions. Overall this is a great place to hang out with friends.

My favorite hang-out spot in Minneapolis is the Old Chicago in Uptown. I especially love the night happy hours when one can buy and individual pizza w/ 2 toppings for like $3 or something. And, they have so many beers, you just can't not find something you're in the mood for. Plus, Tuesday night is karoaoke night where you'd swear you were at an American Idol audition, not because they suck, but because they people are really that good. The servers there are great, they always remember me and what I like to drink. Maybe because I was a regular, or maybe because they are really good at their jobs. It's a great place for a pre-clubbing night or just a good place to hang out with your buddies.

PROS: Late night happy hour rules!
CONS: Parking sucks. You may have to park a couple blocks away.

bad bad BAD service. Our waitress was a witch, i say WAS because she disappered half way through our meal. If you come to this place and don't plan on drinking, be prepared to be IGNORED. Wouldn't go again, even though the pizza is tasty, when served hot.

The food is decent, but for the price, I could definately find better. Now they even have karaoke. what were they thinking?

I realize this is a pizza joint but that doesn't mean the rest of the food shouldn't be decent. I ordered a chicken salad. The dressing was blah and the lettuce was brown. I must say my boyfriends chicken sandwich was decent and the pizza is always pretty good. Know there is Karoke on Tuesdays. Ugh, so bad. I'd avoid this place on Tuesdays unless you want to listen to a bad version of "Waterloo" while eating.

Pros: Pizza, Beer Selection, Cash and Credit only

Cons: Other Entrees, Parking, No Checks
