Highland Nursery Garden Center

HIghland Nursery is utterly charming! When we first moved to the Twin CIties we lived not far down the road just off West 7th in an apartment. I can tell you I was pining for green space and I sure found it at this rare treat of a nursery. So delightful. It's as though the space goes on and on and there is a sense of mystery behind every curve, We have since bought a house on the other side of the metro area and my garden is my new source of daily green space--all with the addition of some lovely perennials from Highland Nursery. Just thinking about it after a long day of work I think I'll head over there this weekend. The quality of the plants is very high and I just love the fact that all the great plants I read about in my garden books and magazines are actually available at Highland.

The Highland nursery is pretty conveniently located since it's right off a major freeway. They have a good selection and they are open year round which makes things easy on the customer.

Coming from Duluth on the way back from the airport there is an exotic mass of tasteful and exciting greenery on your right.It's a wonderful surprise in the midst of an otherwise normal street of buildings and businesses. I stopped one day and was amazed by the large number unusual shrubs and trees-the types not normally found in your everyday gardening center.And the layout just makes you want to get a job so that you can stay forever-just fascinating and a great place to browse-and buy.I have bought several shrubs and a tree and all have been of the highest quality.It is a place where the pride in running a great business is all around you-not only expressed by the owners-but by all the excited folks that work there.Highly recommended for those who love to find healthy plants that are hard to find without mail ordering them.The Highland Nursery is a real boon to the city of St. Paul and they should do everything in their power to keep it right where it is!.

They have a good selection of flowers, plants and herbs to start your garden for the Spring and Summer. Somewhat standard, and it is sometimes hard to find a staff member in the maze of plants.

Highland Nursery offers a great selection of perennials - especially hostas and other shade plants. They're pricey but the quality is also very high. They also offer a good selection of annuals and a few veggies and herbs. Open year round.
