If you think Sara Jane's Bakery has the best DONUT, you have not been around. Their donuts are DRY and not that tasty. The donut I had at Cub Foods last week was better than Sara Jane's!

Our family loves Sarah Jane's Bakery in Northeast Minneapolis. It is wonderful to have a neighborhood bakery but this bakery is exceptional. We regularly get donuts on Saturday mornings. Also, we have had birthday cakes, coffee cakes, cupcakes, cookies and breads from Sarah Jane's. Sarah Jane's bakery makes gingerbread cookies for my kindergarten class each year which are enthusiastically decorated and eaten by the students. Two thumbs way up for Sarah Jane's bakery. We live in the neighborhood, but it would be worth the drive for those living in other areas of the twin cities.

I could really stop into this neighborhhod bakery every morning on my way to work. Living right down the street is dangerous for me. They have wonderful maple bars, and the banana flip (when you can get them) are simply delicious! I love these things. The service is always great and you can get in and out pretty quick! You will never leave broke....or hungry for sweets!

looking for prices on the fruit cake i have had the fruit cake before it was really great just wanted to know how much the cake was so i could order some for my grandmother

Sarah Janesis a Husband & Wife Team owned and they do a wonderful Job. They have won Best Twin Cities Bakery quite a few times if I'm not mistaken.
We have tried their cookies,pastries and doughnuts and loved them all but this place will always have a special appreciation from us. They made our Wedding cake and I do think it was the best tasting one I've ever had [I'm not just biased because it was my wedding-lol].
The cake was light and moist, the frosting was delicious- not too sweet but lots of flavor, The decorating was BEAUTIFUL! They lent us the tiers to set it up at our reception and all we had to do was drop them off assoon as we could.
They are also very reasonably priced considering how in demand they seem to be! 2 thumbs up!
PROS: Great food and service!
CONS: Smalloperation, would do well to expand!

So I went. Wow, it is fantastic too. Prices incredible for the specials. I feel very, very welcome here. Big Store, small town feeling. My gramma would make pastries like this...

This bakery has specials every week. They are announced on the radio between 4 and 5 AM on WCCO 830. The pies are the best but don't miss the donuts, cakes, breads, and cookies too.

If you're craving fresh donuts for breakfast, this is the place to go! Sarah Jane and her staff work very hard to provide a wonderful selection of fresh baked goodies for your perusal six days a week (they are closed on Sunday). Get their early for the very best selection!
They also have a wonderful selection of breaks, cakes and cookies.
PROS: Nummy donuts!
CONS: You might have to drive a couple miles to get here
