This location, and the other two Tea Gardens in the metro area, consistently have the freshest tapioca 'pearls' in their Bubble Tea. Other places serve 'em up tough & rubbery...not here. Enjoy!

The Tea Garden has a fantastic selection of bubble tea flavors and options (both tea, smoothies, and coolers). They also have a full-service coffee bar for the non-bubble tea lovers. The interior is beautiful and elegant with a fountain, comfortable seating, and great music. If you like bubble tea, you'll love the Tea Garden.

The Tea Garden is a wonderful place to go and hang out. There is a wide variety of drinks, and the service is great. This Tea Garden also has a great atmosphere!

Delicious bubble teas are presented in smoothie or cooler form (whether or not you want dairy). Choose one or mix and match from a ton of flavours from chocolate to strawberry to lychee to taro. You can have this smooth poured over pearls (a.k.a boba) which are tapico ballls the size of... a pearl or gellies which are like hard knox gelatin in a very miniaturized rectangular form or both. The drink is sealed with plastic after being made to order and you shove an oversized straw (made to accomidate the pearls and/or gellies) through and drink up the smoothie goodness.
You can also get the smoothies/coolers without pearls or gellies and loose leaf tea is also available.
You really need the mindset of having a meal or a large snack when you go in because if you're getting a bubble tea, it really fills you up! They also have some sandwiches, chips, and vegan cookies along with other goodies to accompany the bubble tea or have alone if you so wish.
The Tea Garden on Hennepin also has wi-fi. Yay!
Sometimes they have live music. Every live music even I've been to there has really been incredibly awful.
And local art is hung on the walls. It's usually pretty decent.
The Tea Garden is a bit expensive, but if you go in there and order then hang around for a couple hours soaking up the cool-kid ambiance and free wi-fi, and some issues of Lavender, the Onion, etc., it'll be worth it.

Pros: Variety of bubble tea flavours

Cons: Hurts the wallet

Both Tea Gardens, Uptown and Grand Avenue, provide excellent products - beverages, deserts, sandwiches, etc., but what really sets the uptown location apart from the Grand location is the interior. The Uptown Tea Garden is much more spacious and has much more seating. It is a more involved store, as they often have DJ's spinning and much more. Both are great, Uptown is just a step above. Open till 1am friday and saturday, which is nice.
