This location of Kmart is dirty. Filthy sometimes. The restrooms look as if they haven't been cleaned in a year. Once there were tools in the sink in the restroom. The last time I was there (and the last time I'll ever be there), the cashier made an honest mistake and rang up one of my items twice. That's fine, she's human, and we all make mistakes. I caught the mistake just after she finished ringing us up, so she had us go to Customer Service for a refund. That's where we ran into problems. I had paid with cash. The acknowledged that we were charged more than we should have been. But they would not refund the difference without seeing my driver's license. Please understand, if I had purchased something and was returning it, I'd have no problem giving them my license. But in this day and age of identify theft, I saw no reason whatsoever for them to have my DL number just because the cashier made a mistake. Fifteen minutes into the conversation with the CS lady, the store manager finally put his own DL # into the system so we could have our money back. That was nice of him, but he shouldn't have to do that. The policy should definitely be changed. Between the filth in the store, the bad policies, prices that aren't that great, and merchandise that isn't that great either, my family has decided we can take Kmart off our shopping list. Especially this location.
