These guys know their stuff. I am always given options every time I go in and have to have work done. Just recently, I realized that my TMJ was acting up, and that I didn't know if my insurance would cover one of those fancy form-fitted mouth guards that you get made for you at the dentist. So when I asked my dentist about it, she had one of the ladies in the office send in a claim to my insurance so that I'd get the information and so would they, before I had any actual work done and had to spend any money. I found out it wouldn't be covered, so I asked if I could use one of those cheap ones they sell at department stores and grocery stores, and instead of outright saying no, like I expected her to, she instead gave me an explaination of why each had its own benefits and what the risks were in using one of the cheap ones.

Options. Truly a wonderful thing. Instead of telling me straight out without letting me figure something out for myself, she gave me information, something that isn't as common nowadays. And I can take that information and make a decision based off of it, and decide what is best for me at this time, instead of blindly spending upwards of $400 on something without even knowing the difference.

I've also seen another one of the dentists there, when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and even an experience as obnoxious and painful as that can be, was made somewhat bearable by being with people I was familiar with, and that I trusted. I was awake, just had novacaine shots, around 6 of them. And when it started to look like that last tooth wouldn't come out, and then it did, the dentist cried out "I love you!" and laughed, and if I hadn't had a mouth full of gauze and instruments, I probably would have laughed too.

PROS: Very caring environment, laid-back, friendly
CONS: it's a dentists' office - I don't think anything can make that pleasant..
