What initially brought me to Friars was a benefit. The beers were cheap and good and the fries were tasty. Word of mouth says they have some tasty burgers but they didnt have the special people talk about so definitely next time I go- which I will- I will be trying it!!

I've been to Friar Tucks a couple of times and I've had a different experience each time.

The first time, I ended up leaving after waiting 25 minutes for a waitress to come to our table.

The second time, we were waited on quickly, but the our order was incorrect. Once it was fixed it was fine, but it was still a bit disappointing.

The third time was much better. Everything went well.

The food here is your typical bar food...burgers, sandwiches, etc. It's tasty, but nothing special.

The waitstaff is touch and go...sometimes they're great, sometimes they're awful. The restaurant/bar doesn't seem to have a smoking/non-smoking section designation and the whole place has about a foot of smoke lingering on the ceiling. I don't really like that in a restaurant.

PROS: Cheap food
CONS: Smoky, unreliable service
