We are very pleased with Barrington Oaks Veterinary hosp./clinic. We have been taking our dog Mollie to Dr. Kim for over twelve years and thank her for taking excellent care of Mollie, she shows her concern and gives her the "fuzzys" that shows she likes her. The staff there is great and it tells alot about a clinic when you see many long-term employees. We all thank you, DWIGHT, SANDY and MOLLIE!! "FIVE STARS" !!

I have taken over a hundred dogs to Barrington Oaks Vet Clinic and never had a problem. From the most routine work to the most unusual problems, everything has always been handled with care, expertise and compassion. I Iove the long and seven day a week hours and they always understand when I need to get a dog in. As a rescue, they have always worked with me. Unlike some clinics where you only want to see one vet, I have had great luck and rapport with the entire staff.

We saw Dr Kim Gallenberg and staff with our geriatric cats and our experiences with them are excellent. The doctors amnd staff really know their stuff, and the lab work was completed during the course of our visits for our sick cat. Though we saw our oldest kitty to her passing in a number of months, we were informed, and they helped us support her in her older years as best we could through kidney disease. The staff really loved our pets. You can't put a price on that.

I would highly recommend Barrington Oaks Vet to anyone. I have been bringing my pets there for 12 years. I cannot say enough about their compassion for what they do. They were always there for me when my pets needed them. The staff is friendly and very professional. I have tried other vets before finding Barrington Oaks and I am very grateful for all they do

I have been to Barrington Oaks in Elk River once, and once was all I could handle. The receptionist was incredibly rude and demeaning as I asked questions concerning my cat. Needless to say, I never brought any of my pets there again. A few years later my two dogs managed to break free from our kids while they were in the backyard, I immediately started looking and within a 1/2 hour found out they had been brought over to Barrington Oaks. I went to get my dogs approximately 45 minutes after losing them and the same receptionist was working she treated me like I was some terrible pet owner actually made a comment about how some people should not have pets! What? I was charged boarding fees for both pets and Barrington's charge for having the pets-$200! When I questioned the fees the receptionist stated that when people cannot care for their pets Barrington can not be held responsible! I will never set foot in that place again!

We have had very good luck with Barrington Oaks (Princeton location). They always get me in when needed and the staff is very nice. My husband had to put down our 10 yr old lab a couple years ago and the staff made sure he was the last appointment of the day and made sure he spent all the time he needed with Wyatt before leaving. They provided us with his ashes and foot print. My husband was obviously shattered by the experience but said the staff was very compasionate during the whole ordeal. We have used them since moving into the area 7 years ago. The breeder of our 5 yr old British Lab recomended them when we moved into the area and we have been very happy with their services.

I've been going to Barrington Oaks since we moved to Elk River in 2006. At the time I had an elderly cat. They were so helpful to me with information as he got older and sicker. When it was time for me to let him go, they let me spend as much time as I wanted with him, and let me hold him while they administered the final medications. They sent me a lovely card, and had his footprints placed in a plaque, which they mailed to me later. It brought me a lot of comfort.

I have since adopted two new kittens, who are also patients at Barrington Oaks. The staff has been very friendly and accommodating, and there is never a problem getting them in quickly when necessary. The doctors there are very good. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I recommend Barrington Oaks and do continually. I have 2 dogs, 3 cats and sit on the board of an animal rescue. The vets and staff are highly trained and easy to talk with. They always get me in right away for an appointment. My 2 dogs are pancreatitis dogs and the staff is amazing. They took my from a "first time pancreatitis dog mommy" to a well versed owner. I have many options where to take my pets and our pets in rescue. I CHOOSE to take them to BOVH and that says a lot.

Big mistake to take your pet to Barrington Oaks. One thing after another went wrong when I took my dog there. I specifically asked how they were going to draw blood for this test and insisted I wanted them to draw it from her foot. They said they would. Then come to find out they took it from her jugular vein in her neck. They told me my dog had diabetes and put her on this weightloss dog food after she had already lost 5 lbs (which is a lot for a small dog). Then she quit eating that dog food so I called and asked what else I could feed her. They gave me no suggestions only to ask if I had tried force feeding her by shoving food down her throat. When I finally had to put her down, they wouldn't let me hold her and they required her to wear a muzzle, something she hated. I left her leash and collar there accidentally and when I called a couple days later to see if I could pick it up they told me they threw it in the garbage! I was very upset and about a half hour later they called back and said they found it. I very much regret taking my dog there after I moved to the area. I think she would have gotten much better treatment if I had chosen a different vet clinic.

We moved and tried BOAH. HUGE mistake. I really needed to get in because we had been into the emergency vet because our golden had been having seizures. Plus we suspected our cat of having some sort of UTI/Bladder infection. I get to the office with my 2 big dogs and cat. The technician is pushy and rude, I wanted the cat super sedated because she's so skittish but she refused, didn't tell me they used a needle to get the urine when I asked how they get it, put the cat on the floor for the dogs to chase. Insisted on doing heartworm testing when I wanted to do it in 3-4 weeks during the lyme booster follow up. She also heartworm tested my cat without asking me or telling me, I found out when I paid my bill. I was there for over 2 hours in a small room with dogs chasing the cat and each other and no idea what was going on. The entire time this technician was very pushy. She kept using the command 'settle' with my golden who didn't understand the command and the technician was getting upset. My cat lost alot of fur through the whole ordeal and I still don't know why my indoor cat who is 5 years old was heartworm tested out of the blue. This was the very first time I've heard of a cat being heartworm tested. It's been over 24 hours and my cat is still under my couch.. it's great she was so scared yesterday that I haven't been able to administer a single dose of antibiotic thanks a bunch barrington oaks!

If your pet is sick or injured, a good place to take him to is the Barrington Oaks Veterinary Hospital in Elk River. They will take care of all of your pets needs including boarding, grooming, vaccinations, surgery, and much, much more. Their prices are reasonable. The staff is very gentle and caring and your pet will know that. You can make evening appointments also. They also have a second location, that is located in Princeton, MN. This location can be found next to McDonald's on 169 and Dodge Ave.

We finally found a vet in this area that we like. 3rd try is a charm! The staff are not only friendly, but helpful. They provide a big envelope full of info, when you come w/ a new puppy. The most helpful thing was a list of things that dogs are not supposed to eat. They have good & fair pricing, but aren't focused on just $$. Appt are easy to make at our convenience, & they are open in the evening.
