I really enjoyed myself at Deer Run. I was welcomed by the staff when I walked into the clubhouse and grabbed some food and drink before my round. The girls at the bar were very friendly and in a great mood. Once on the course it was a nice challenge as it is not the longest course but you need to be straight or else.
The fairways and tee boxes are groomed well and the greens are some of the best I have played in the Twin Cities.
I saw the beverage cart every 4 holes which is great, most courses I may see the cart once on the front and again on the back. Always a smile from the lovely girls.
I also finished the round in under 4 hours playing as a 4-some which doesn't happen nowadays, the course is a friendly set-up in order to make that happen (as long as your somewhat straight).
Overall I give Deer Run an "A" from their course to facility. I will be back again and will refer this course to other golfing buddies. Thanks Deer Run!!

Best greens I play on all year. Course conditions are better than most country clubs I've played, fast pace of play friendly staff and GREAT food. Not long but has a great variety of holes. Don't miss their "Fun Play Fridays"!!!

Deer Run is my favorite courses in the Twin Cities. It is consistently in better condition than many private clubs with fast, true greens. Very friendly staff and a great variety of holes. Fun course to play regularly. Not long but still challenging without killing you (or making you lose a million balls).

Make sure to try their food...hands down the best I've had at any public course.

I play more than 20 different courses in Minnesota each year and Deer Run is arguably the best-maintained course in the Twin Cities. They have made significant improvements here over the past 5-6 years.\r

From the back tee's the course measured up real short. But if the winds blowing it can get 300 yards longer. Course was in pretty good shape but the greens needed some work. Take an extra club on some of the par three's. Pretty good course for the price..

In Short
Don't be misled by this very short and scenic course. It's not too hilly, but the water hazards are treacherous, and the undulating greens are kept in immaculate (really speedy) condition. This course hates slow play so…
