.

I am a proud lessee of a 2010 Venza. I love driving this car??to the point where I have seven months until my contract ends, but I am a few hundred miles away from my lease limit. I decided that since my daughter will need a car several months from now (has to wait 6 months after getting permit) and either way, I am going to have to pay for the overage; I could drive the used car and park the Venza, so that I can put the money towards an actual car rather than have significant overage fees.

I also know that if I pay a bit more for a certified car, it will be the best situation. I simply wanted to get a sense of what is ??out there? in terms of the pre-owned market because I am looking to buy now, not later and if the situation is right, I will spend more.

We began our search at Walser Toyota in Bloomington, MN on August 29th. When we arrived, we had to wait awhile before one of the salespeople RELUCTANTLY came to help. I was immediately stunned by the rudeness and sarcasm of the sales guy. I asked if they had any cars for $10,000 and under that are small like a Corolla or an old Honda Civic that was maybe traded in. The sales guy then took me to a 1997 Infiniti QX4 with over 100,000 miles and also a Buick Lucerne, and a 1999 Grand Am. I couldn??t believe what was happening. I reminded him that I was looking for a smaller corolla or something similar. He responded by saying, "Well you asked for a car that was $10, 000 and under. This is it!!"

I asked if those are the only cars in my range in stock and he said "no." Then I had to ask all over again for that small car I wanted.

He said "before we see what's in stock, where do you want your payments to be?" I said that I wanted to know the price of the car more than the payments because the credit score will decide the rate, hence the payment amount.

I told him ??I want a car in my price range because it will be my daughter??s very first car. I know that price ranges of cars correlate with the condition of the vehicle so price is important to me.?

He began to lecture me on their "best price policy" and then told me that what I wanted for payments does matter. He practically yelled at me as if I didn??t understand his question. He could not understand that I wanted a good car, not great payments for a lemon just because the math worked out to the payment I tell him.

I am over this dealership. I felt a bit hurt by how I was treated. What a shame to Toyota??s reputation. This dealership is not friendly and they don??t seemed to understand the significance of customer loyalty due to brand quality.

I had a bankruptcy 7 years ago, so I expected a challenge to getting approved for a lease on a 2012 Corolla, but I hoped that the folks at Walser would be straight and honest with me about what they could do for me. They ran my credit and said I was approved for the down payment and monthly payment I could afford. I needed to leave for some other appointments that day so I put down a deposit and made an appointment for Monday at 6:00. Monday morning Katie called and said the banks declined my credit. Kathy from Finance would try to work something out. No once called me back. I called after 5:00 to find out what was going on and was told that I needed to pay nearly twice the down payment I agreed to in order to qualify. Katie and Kathy led me to believe on Saturday that it was practically a done deal. I spent two days getting excited about the car and telling people about it, including my two daughters ages 6 and 8 only for me to be left feeling like a fool and completely angry and disappointed. I felt swindled.

Do NOT ever get your car serviced at Walser Toyota in Bloomington. EVER.

I guarantee they will try to swindle you.

I bought my 2010 Yaris from Walser Toyota in Bloomington and have had terrible experiences ever since. They try to convince you to get parts and services for your car that you don't need, and basically, try to swindle you. Last time I was at their dealership, getting a basic check-up to maintain the warranty, they told me that my tires were so bad that I should buy new ones. Interestingly enough, they "happened" to be having a tire sale And sure enough, when I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinoin, I was told that the tires were perfectly fine. UNBELIEVABLE!

This is just one example of how they will totally try to skrew you over.

Then, when it came time for my 30,000 mile check-up, and I called them and asked how much it would be, and they quoted me at $400. Bear in mind that there's nothing wrong with my car, this is just a check-up, oil change and tire rotation. Luckily, I called a different dealership for a quote, Rudy Luther Toyota in Golden Valley and was quote $94 for the exact same service. That's a $300 dollar difference!!! Plus, not only that, but the mechanic at Rudy Luther saw that there were some parts I didn't need to replace, so he got me me out the door for $69! That's a $330 dollar difference!!!!

DON"T EVER GO TO WALSER TOYOTA IN BLOOMINGTON TO GET YOUR CAR SERVICED. Ever.

Ever.

I bought a 2010 Camry Nov 09. Today there are 25k miles on it and my tires are bad. When I called the dealership I had to leave a message. No call back twice. When my husband called, they talked to him and told him there are crappy tires on the car, no warranty and I will have to replace them before turning in my lease next year. I will not buy from Walser again.
The free car washes are a joke too. 20 minute wait at least, when they are open which is never!!

The worst service EVER:
I must report a problem that has plagued my 2003 Toyota Camry for over 3 years. I was becoming increasingly concerned about safety as my 6-year old Camry began to shudder at highway speeds when the roads turned towards the right. I brought it in to Walser Toyota in 2009 for my 30,000 mile checkup and mentioned this problem. They were unable to find a cause, but still replaced tires and performed the wheel alignment for $575. The problem was not fixed.
My mother-in-law also noticed this instability while carrying my 5-year-old triplets to outings, and now this had become critical. I brought my car to Walser again in 2010, and they couldn't find the problem. Another $630 dollars for a CV boot (which had been recalled earlier, but was still charged to me) and wheel alignment, but no improvement to the stability.
I could not bear the thought of a tragic accident, and brought my car in for the third time to Walser Toyota on October 10, 2011. They said my front wheel control arm bushings were worn, and was the cause of the instability. I was also informed that "since the car is up on the hoist", I should also replace the front ball joints, for a little more cost. The bill became nearly $2400, for what was quoted as a 13-hour job. They did it in 6 hours.
Not even a day later, the car shuddered again, at a nominal 40 mph speed exiting an offramp. How could it be worse!? I phoned Walser about my concern, and we discussed bringing it in for a road test. I was not able to make it in for a few days, and on my way home from work experienced a shudder that forced me to veer to the shoulder during rush-hour highway traffic. This problem had gotten much worse, I was afraid to drive the car, and immediately made it back to Walser.
Another day of a loaner, and the Walser technicians seemed to find the problem in the driver's side REAR control arm bushing. They brought me in to demonstrate, and it was evident that this was a defective part. OK, good, I just want this fixed, but Walser want's to charge me again for the next round of service. I exchanged my opinion that the original $2400 bill was for work that was not required, but I would consider going "half-way" to cover the improvements that were actually performed because of their failed diagnosis.
The correction was quoted at about 3 hours work, approximately $600. I proposed we settle this issue with a $1150 bill, payment for the front (improper fix) and rear (correct fix) jobs, to make this equitable for both parties. This was rejected, and Walser wanted me to maintain the original $2391.44 charges, and they would waive the ~$600 charges for the correct work. I find this unacceptable, where I am paying for work that was not required, to fix the root problem at nearly a 400% markup! I believe my fair offer of half the cost of the failed job should have left all parties satisfied.
Three more follow-ups, a BBB complaint, a Toyota Customer Service complaint, and a discussion with the Walser Operations Directory, and they still refuse to negotiate, and won't release my car until I pay their higher-cost, negligent repair.

If one could give this company negative stars, they certainly would have earned it. There was a time when I used to buy cars at this company. In the past year however their service has gone way downhill. The salespeople don't seem to have any sense of urgency and I even got to see a manager chew out an employee for not making a sale. It seems like their so called non comissioned sales has created this nonsense. There are practically none of the same employees that were there just one year later. Now, I know nothing about the inner workings of this company, but I have concluded that the management must be under pressure to meet sales quotas and the sales staff must be underpaid compared to all the other dealerships around town. The sales staff probably has huge turnover because any good salesperson is going to go work for someone else where they can actually make enough money to pay the bills. This lowest price deal that they give is higher than the next dealership in town and the next dealership in town gives better service. I could almost 100% guaranree that 90% of the good reviews on here are written by employees or direct friend or family of employees because any normal customer would be downright nuts to purchase anything from this business. I will never set foot in a Walser dealership again, and recommend that you don't either.

While it was frustrating at first, I'm glad I went to Walser. I had trouble getting anyone to call me back, which is a strange thing to say about car salesmen. I was trying to set up an appointment, so ended up just showing up on my own. I had to wait around for a while because they were very busy. I believe they did their best to get someone to help me as soon as possible. Once things got going a bit, they did an amazing job getting me the best deal possible. They pitted lenders against each other and got me a finance rate that was 4 points below what another local dealer said was the best they could do. I was very please with my experience there.

It's worth the wait if they are busy. They don't work on commission so they won't try to make money on the interest rate or price of the car. Their "best-price" (no-haggle) was well below blue book. No need to haggle. :)

Awful service. Brought car in to check very loud noise coming from wheel well, which they missed the first two times I brought it in. After they fixed it, my credit card was unexpectedly rejected and I didn't have my checkbook. They demanded cash immediately but I had to get home to meet a child coming home from school. They hassled me and showed zero sympathy or understanding. They know my name, have my address, asked for my license...they knew how to find me. So why not show some flexibility and wait until the next day for payment. They've now lost a potential long-term customer. Will never take my car there again, never buy from them...that is, if I'm willing to overlook all the recalls. Customer service has no sense of the big picture.

We were in an accident a week ago and our car was totaled. After this crazy event, we needed to get another car, but were not looking forward to "getting sold"...dealing with salesman...etc. We chose to look at Walser Toyota in Bloomington because a friend recommended them. I gave Sam a call and he was available to meet us at our convenience. We met on Saturday and both Sam and his team gave us excellent customer service, great information, and no pressure at all. We were able to make the right decision for US and they supported our decision. We are now proud owners of a 2011 Prius and got everything we wanted plus more! Thank you Sam and Toulong for making a stressful situation into a positive experience! :)

I purchased a used Toyota from Walser this summer and had a battery problem last week. Dan H at the Walser Service Department went above and beyond to help me resolve this problem. I am taking night classes and Dan worked late into the evening to exchange the battery so I could have a working vehicle for the next day. I would like to thank Dan, and by extension the Walser Service Department, for helping with my little emergency.

One bad experience after another. I called to make an appointment for an oil change and two recall items. This was scheduled for a Saturday at 1pm and I was told it would take about 2 or 2 1/2 hours. We arrived on time but the service department was so busy that I wasn't able to speak with a customer service rep for more than 15 minutes (more or less defeating the purpose of making an appointment). I told them I had an appointment, the man I spoke to ( for only a few seconds) said great, asked for the keys and drove the car in. I waited there in the service bay for about 10 minutes, expecting that he'd need to get more information from me or to give me some sort of ticket or something. He didn't. No one did. So I left, assuming all was well. About 4, we had finished running errands and called Walser to make sure the car was ready to be picked up. It wasn't. In fact, the car wasn't done until nearly 5pm and the oil change wasn't done at all (apparently the person made the appointment with didn't put it on the order). Irritated, I said I'd need to make another appointment to have the oil changed. A mechanic's manager-type was apologetic and said that he'd make sure to give "a really good deal" on the oil change price, for the trouble. Fast forward to today, a week later. Arrived 10 minutes early for an 11am oil change appointment. The service department was much less busy and I was able to speak with someone and get the car in right away this time. In addition to the oil change, I asked them to check the running lights because my wife had told me they weren't working on one side. I was told it would take an hour (for an oil change and a new light bulb?! ... w/ an appointment?! ... we're not overbooking our appointments here just a little, are we?) Okay, fine. Whatever. I'll wait. She says she'll come find me in the waiting area when the car's ready. On the rear view mirror of my car hangs a ticket with a 4-digit number on one side and the word "WAITER" on the other -- which seems to be a clear signal to whomever: "hey, this person is waiting in the lobby for their car." You'd think anyway. At any rate, I sit patiently in the waiting area for 90 minutes, at which point I give up and stalk back to the service desk to ask them to check on the status of my car. Turns out, of course, that the car has been done for a while and no one bothered to come and tell me. Nice. Never again will I set foot in any Walser dealership.

Had a wonderful experience a couple weeks ago with the Walser Toyota service department...I had to make a unexpected trip to the repair shop on my way home after a late night at work. I got there and was welcomed by the most customer friendly agent. I wasn't happy to have to come in and spend money after the holidays but Dave H.(or the younger Dave as they called him) took the pain out of my visit. Great experience, Dave was great and everyone was so helpful. I got in and out fast and my problem was solved. Walser should be looking for more people like that! I have had my doubts but after this visit i will be back!! I do wish the car was was open though.. They dont tell you that for your "free car washes" the temperature has to be above 20 degrees...we live in MN come on now guys!

Used them for service on my corolla for oil change. The service man did not come to notify me the car is done, after 20 minutes the invoice was printed (all date/time on the invoice). I had to find the service person to ask if my car is done, and found him chatting on the phone.

It was an early morning appointment, needless to say that impact my schedule. When asked about, the service man lied about it. Talk to the manager, he could do anything about it. This is the second time I used them. The last time was so-so, and this time was totally unacceptable.

Avoid them if you can.

My husband and I finally needed a new car and we knew we wanted another mid-sized SUV. We were considering the Highlander, Acadia and CX-9. After driving the Highlander, my husband and I both fell in love. Our salesperson, Greg Elfstrum was able to find us a model that suited all of our needs while still fitting into our budget. Greg was great to work with, with a no pressure attitude and he said several times, "I just want you to get the car you want and the price you want." We'll need another new car in a year or so and will definitely be calling Greg again. And after our most recent snow storm in Minneapolis, we love the Highlander even more.

We bought a Toyota Camry from Walser this past year through Sales Rep, Steve Bradach. We had a really nice experience working with Steve and would definitely buy another car from him again in the future. Great service and great car!

Just leased a 2010 Corolla this weekend and traded in my 99 Rav4. Spike, Larry, and the rest of the crew gave me an amazing experience the entire time I was there. I was so worried I would have a freakout moment and not be able to give up my Rav since I had it for so many years, but they made the entire experience so exciting, relaxing, and very fun. Everything was "grooooooovy"! Thanks, Spike, Larry and Walser Toyota. I love my new cute Corolla. I will go tell my Toyota Story on Facebook too so be looking for it. :)

Absolutely terrible service! We loved this place until we started getting ??free? oil changes and service done at the dealer. They are as nice as can be when you purchase a car and then dupe you. My husband and I have waited in the lobby for 2 hours for a measly oil change. No apologies, just rude customer service reps! When we asked whats a slower time to come in, he got all snippy and said its ??busy all the time.? Well hire more staff!!!! In addition, we once waited over 30 minutes longer than needed simply because they were ??too busy? to put the paper work into the computer after the service was done. Our car sat our in the parking lot but they refused to give us our keys back until they were done filling out the paperwork in the computer ?? the oil change was ??free? so why would we need to wait???

When we recently called to get a supposed ??free? oil change? they refused to give it to us unless we spend $171 on full service that includes a tire rotation, changing filters. What? I can get a tire rotation for $40 elsewhere and why would I want to sit and wait for 2 hours just to pay $171 for crappy service.

Also, when the recall happened on our Toyota Prius, they kept INSISTING that there was no such recall. My husband then called the guy that sold us the car and he never called us back until 2 weeks later. He then denied a recall and asked if we could drum up some business for him by sending some friends on in. WHAT??? So, I then called Toyota customer service and they said there was a recall on our 2009 prius. Look it up, man! It even says it on there website. Even after I showed them the website, Walser treated me like a small child saying I ??didn??t know any better and that their information said otherwise.? Sorry, but your dealership is misinformed. I understand that the recall is with Toyota, but the car was sold to me by the dealer and they have just a big a responsibility of informing their customers of a dangerous situation. Then, when we finally got the letter from Walser 3 months later. So we went in to get our mats replaced and they just laid the mats over the dirty floor and didn??t vaccum and pick up the mess that was created from the requirement of not having a mat for 6+ months in the middle of winter. I??m glad this car is a lease as we will never be purchasing from Walser again. They take your money and run and could care LESS about customer service.

We are usually very understanding people that know people make mistakes but the behavior of the staff at Walser is truly appalling. Sorry salesman, but I will NOT be referring friends to Walser ever again. Inside, I??ll be shooing them away like flies at a picnic!

I am extremely disappointed with Walser dealers, and would not purchase a car from them if my only other option was walking! I spent two nights at the dealership-- 1 hour from my house-- picking out one I wanted. After picking one out and filing all paperwork needed other than one final signature they told me couldn't be dont till 8 am the next day. I planned on coming in at 3pm to sign and pick up the car. In that time they sold the car to someone else who put a deposit down on the car. They lived more than 150 miles away so they were eligible to put a deposit on it, I lived closer than 150 miles so I was not. Spoke with several managers about the situation, they were rude and disrespectful and essentially gave me a 'too bad'. Wasler has NO RESPECT for their customers-- STAY AWAY.

Doing business at Walser Toyota in Bloomington was a wonderful experience my salesman Tom Kennedy was a easy to work with and treated me with respect. I am a single woman and had been shopping around for quiet some time and it was only Walser dealerships that actually took me serious enough to talk to me about what I was looking for this dealership is a top notch dealership from sales to service the clean friendly atmosphere makes it easy to shop at. I got to the dealership late on a Saturday afternoon but Tom Kennedy took his time listened to what I was looking for and stayed until the deal was done he did not seem anxious and really just took his time to go over everything with me my experience here was the best ever and I will never shop anywhere else.

Toulong Yang helped me out with my car buying needs at Walser Toyota. I bought a Toyota Yaris 4 door liftback manual. He found exactly what I was looking for, and made the process very, very easy. I didn't have a lot of time, but he was very considerate of the time that I had. I would encourage anyone looking for a car to go to Walser! THANKS WALSER and Toulong!

Doing business with Walser Bloomington Toyota has been a fantastic experience (I purchased a 2007 Toyota Camry)! The Walser store was clean and welcoming; a childrens area with coloring books and movies was provided to keep my little one entertained while I shopped. My sales rep, Jason was knowledgeable, courteous, professional and patient. Jason sat down with me and helped me determine what was important to ME in finding a new-used car. My requirements were fairly simple: space, low mileage and cost; all of which were met with the 2007 Toyota Camry I purchased. Charlie Swenson (Manager) was able to provide me with a more-than-fair price for my used vehicle.
I put off purchasing a newer vehicle for a long time becuase I do not like the pressure of an aggressive sales person, which I have seen many times in the past. Jason seemed genuinly concerned about finding a vehicle that I could be happy in for many years to come; Not once did he try to "push" me into something I could not afford or that I was not totally enthusiastic about.
We all have choices in doing business; I could not be more happy with my choice of car or dealer and I would recomend Walser Toyota to my family and friends!

I put a $500 deposit down on a vehicle at Walser Toyota and they sold it out from under me, thus breaking our contract. When I asked the manager (Chuck) how they could do this, he replied, "its my car, and I will sell it to whoever I want." I was lied to by the staff at Walser several times in the matter of an hour, and the GM (Chuck) is EXTREMELY rude. My girlfriend and I both agreed that we had never been treated so poorly by any business.

I purchased a new Tundra in 2007 and though the initial sales price was attractive the service and support that I have received since has been troubling. After multiple attempts to discuss my concerns with the store manager, Charlie Swenson finally shared several emails, ultimately revealing his contempt towards the customer who dares to question his policies. I no intent to ever purchase another vehicle from a Walser owned dealership. :(

I've had a wonderful experience with Walser Toyota in Bloomington. They gave me a fair price on my car and when I come to town they always wash and clean my car!! I live in Iowa and I've never had that kind of treatment anywhere!! They have always been honest and fair in any of my dealings.

We had the worst experience with Walser Toyota.

After two separate appointments (taking up about 6 hours of our time) and being handed off to about a half dozen different people we finally purchased our vehicle. We were so frustrated by the experience that we called to complain. When I called I was told that they were sorry and we could bring the car back if we wanted to (which is a totally inadequate response).

Today, almost two weeks later, we get a call that they forgot to have us sign some paperwork so they can transfer the title to us. They were wondering if we could come in to take care of that. Ridiculous!

I would recommend that anyone purchasing a vehicle avoid this dealership.

I had an interesting experience with Walser Toyota and their "Best Price First" guaranty. The internet inventory listed a Camry XLE at $23,944, wo I went to the dealer expecting to pay just that. After test driving the car, test driving my trade and being there almost an hour, we start talking numbers. Well the "Best Price First" guaranty went up by $750. Turns out Toyota Corporate offers either a $750 rebate, OR low rate financing and Walser advertises their "Best Price First" with the $750 rebate included. If you choose the low interest rate option, they add the $750 back to the price. Is this not the classic "Bait & Switch" in action?
