The technical staff and doctor at this clinic were consistently argumentative, rude, money grubbing and incorrect in their assessments. I made an appointment for both my husband and I to get our teeth cleaned with the understanding that we have been and will continue to see our regular dentist in another state. We were informed that this would not be a problem. Despite requesting and receiving my most recent xrays from my current dentist they decided that they did not like the original (not copied) xrays that were sent by my normal dental clinic and decided that we HAD to have new ones made even though the ones sent were originals. Either that or they wanted to make more money from getting another set made - more likely the case. This information was presented at the start of the cleaning as a roadblock to further service. We had to agree to it or they werent continuing. Furthermore, they couldnt figure out whose xrays were whose between my husband and I (our teeth are very very obviously different, even by xray) and argued with me for a lengthy period of time about whether I had my wisdom teeth removed. In my appointment a second copy of the xrays that were taken was provided to me to return to my original doctor in Seattle. My husband had to call after he left the appointment and was told that he would have to pay an additional $20 fee for the xrays to be copied because they had to keep a copy themselves. The office also refused to return the xrays that our normal dentist sent even though they werent "good enough" for them to use. Dentist was extremely rude and unhelpful. They argued with me through the "cleaning" about whether I grind/clench my teeth-refusing to accept my answers when my normal doctor agrees that there is no reason to suggest otherwise. They then, of their own accord and without my permission, filed a preapproval for me to BUY a device from them to alleviate this non-existent condition. Their entire establishment is directed toward making money not toward dental care. I was offered multiple add ons to my normal cleaning that I would have to pay extra for and encouraged me to purchase low quality dental instruments that I know from research and experience are significantly less beneficial than other products which they strangely arent selling in house. I will never go there again and would encourage anyone who does go there to find themselves a decent dentist they do exist but you may have to fly to Seattle to find them. Its too bad that you have to give everyone a minimum of 1 star with this list as I feel the service merits negative stars

Between braces, wisdom teeth, and countless other dental procedures, I have been to many a clinic, so trust me when I say DO NOT GO HERE. Read on if you want to know my experience...
Initially, I recommended this office to everyone because the staff was so nice and I thought they did a great job on a filling I had that had fallen out. But wow, it was a BIG MISTAKE. The filling they replaced (which, prior to the incident that had sent me to Uptown Dental to begin with, had held fast since 3rd grade) fell out no less than 3 times in 6 months.
My boyfriend went there for a routine cleaning and said that it was among the most dental experiences he'd ever had. I went in for a cleaning shortly after, and I agreed. Even the %$#%ing X-rays were painful, and those little cardboard things they put in cut my mouth badly enough to make it bleed. We realized we both had the same blonde hygenist -- she is the devil. She even squirted water down my throat by accident and almost made me choke -- TWICE.
A friend of mine has a problem with a tooth that is about as serious as you can expect to see outside of a third-world country. She went in to have it looked at, and after the initial consultation they scheduled her for another appointment. She went in, and they acted like they had no idea who she was, saying she didn't have an appointment. She tried scheduling another one, went in, and the same thing happened -- AGAIN! A week later, they sent her a note saying if she "missed any more appointments without giving notice" they would charge her account. WFT?
This place is bad news. We're looking for other dentists right now and recommend that you do the same.

I have had the worse fear of dentist since I was a small child. I have been able to go to Dr.Hamilton and over the years I have been able to relax even fall asleep in the denatl chair.
Dr.Hamilton takes time to explain the procedures before she starts.
I cannot say, "Thank-you enough to Dr.Hamilton".
I have referred other cowards to her and they too feel like Dr.Hamilton
helps them to trust and relax in the dental chair..
Dental Cowards Unite and go see Dr. Hamilton!

I like Uptown Dental. I chose it first because it was close to my apartment and on the bus line. But, one of the best parts about it is that it is open late! They are open til 7 some nights, which really helps so you don't have to miss work. They also have high tech equipment, which helps ease stress. The dentists are young and nice.
