We ate at this restaurant for the first time tonight (8/29) and it was fabulous. The place was empty but the staff were very friendly and the food was fast and good. We got two egg rolls and two entrees and it was only $20. And we have lots of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The atmosphere was clean and there is plenty of seating. There is a lunch buffet from 11-2:30 which I am assuming is very good. We were recommended this restaurant by a neighbor as the best Chinese food around. And we'd have to agree. It wasn't greasy or fried and the veges were plentiful and cooked tender. A very large menu and also included some American fare as well for those not a fan of Chinese food. I'd recommend the Chinese egg rolls.

Hope's is a total hole in the wall, but it's got some great food! My personal favorites are the chicken fried rice (which can last me a few meals, they pack that container full!) and the cream cheese wantons.

I've got two phrases for you. "Chicken Chow Mein" and "Take out". It's all you need to know. Call, order, pickup. Large meaty pieces of chicken, nice sauce (no, it's not the consistency of Jello!), and not too much celery. If there's such a thing as perfect take-out chow mein, this just might be it. This truly is unlike nay chow mein you've had at any other chinese restaurant in the Twin Cities.

Pros: Chicken Chow Mein, Inexpensive
