Even though we showed up during leagues, there was no waiting for open bowling. The drinks were strong, the bar was fairly cleared out so we were able to play pool and drink for a while without worrying about disturbing people. The staff was great! I would say the only drawback is the food - typical bar menu. Another con is that it's kind of out of the cities a ways - if we hadn't been meeting someone I don't know if we would go out that far for a bowling alley/bar. A couple things could use decorating, updating - but the fundamentals were there and we had a great time. I'm kind of surprised to see this place get bad reviews... I don't know what they're comparing it to, it's kind of a normal bowling alley/bar, nothing special but not bad. Anyways, we would definately go again, it looks like they have free poker on Monday nights so it may be worth a trip out.

This is kind of your typical small town bowling alley and bar. If you've been around for a while as a bowler, you can tell this is a little older house albiet well kept and a few times refurbished. Electronic scoring was a plus, our machines ran flawlessly for the 3 games we bowled, and drinks were relatively cheap and well mixed.

The bar had plenty of space, there was no waiting for a pool table or darts, and service was good. It was a great place with low level music where a group of us could hang out, have some drinks, and not have to yell over the music. I wouldn't go terribly out of your way to find this place, but if you're looking for something to do it's a good time and not crowded.

Pros: electronic scoring, no waiting

Cons: out in the middle of nowhere.

I just recently went to Louisville Lanes and thought it was pretty good. I read the other reviews and was suprised to see their bad comments. Maybe things have changed a lot since they have been there. Anyway, it was a nice place, smelled fine (no smoke), had good food, had great customer service (the people were very friendly), and i had a fun time with my friends. The new balls and lane surfaces were very cool and had no problem with those. The only thing that was bad was our lanes did malfunction a few times, but the workers hurried up to fix them. So if they fixed the malfunctions and maybe played some music or something it would be really great, but even without that it was still a nice place and somewhere i would not avoid. Go there and have fun.

The place can't be called smoky anymore, with the no smoking law, and they just upgraded their lanes with all new surfaces. Plus a whole ton of new bowling ball that work for midnight bowling. The machines are still old though and need definite improvement. But the people are nice. The bar is a good size with some good singers doing Karaoke.

the service at this smokey place was horrible- my lanes kept on breaking, and when I tried to use a coupon, they didn't accept it for its full price. The people there definitely don't know how to treat the bowler well. Next time, if I decide to go to a bowling alley, I would rather travel the ten extra miles and find a decent bowling alley- Louisville lanes will always have a bad impression on me.

I've been to several bowling lanes and none of the failed to meet my expectation as much as this bowling alley. It was an old bowling lane that smelled musty, the three lanes that we rented broke litterally at least 6 times, and the service there was horrible-the people there were arrogant and it seemed didn't value the customer. I left the bowling alley feeling horrible at being treated like a dog

well, when i went there on my birthday, the place seemed very old and ugly- almost nothing modern. before that, i called to make a reservation, but then was told i dont need to. what do you know, when we come there, they tell us we need a reservation. lukily, they had a few lanes open so we got in. We brought our own pizza with us because i dont like their greesy, tiny pizza. they told us to eat it outside. so we did. then we came back in to play. the two lanes broke a minimum of 7 times- literally. We brought a coupon for that place, but when we were going to use it, they told us that the coupon covers only 6 dollars for bowling- and that definitely was not what it said on the coupon. they wouldn't own up to their mistake. they copletely ruined my birthday. i was a horrible first experience. i have been to other bowling lanes, and this is the only place where i experienced such horrible serviced- we were treated like trash

Pros: the parking was okay

Cons: well, just about everything else- the service, the smell, the look

While I love to bowl and thought this place had decent prices, I found it to be way too smokey for the kids. Even with designated smoking areas the area where the lanes are still seems to get very smokey. On the plus side, most bowling alleys don't have very good food, but here they also have a bar and grill so you can get some really good sandwiches, hamburgers, etc while you are there!

PROS: fun, good food
CONS: smokey
