Just had dinner there and the service was abominably sub-par. Ordered a dish that tasted terrible and tried to send it back, the manager refused to take it and tried to convince me to eat it. I would never go back, frankly it's not worth

I've tried almost every major pho restaurant in the Twin Cities, and Pho 79 (Energy Park) has the best tasting pho around. Their other signature Vietnamese dishes might not be as plentiful or fulfilling as other popular Vietnamese restaurants, but when I'm craving for pho, I only look to Pho 79. It's where I take out-of-towners who want to sample the Twin Cities' best pho. But I do have to agree with the user that said that the service could get bad during really busy times. But that's once in like every 20 times that I go there (I go there a lot). Me and my group of pho eating friends agree that Pho 79 on Energy Park (not Nicollet) serves the best pho in the Twin Cities, hands down. Their broth is the best. It's light, consistent and has the right combination of sweetness and saltiness you're looking for in good pho. If you ask people who regularly eat pho, they'll tell you that the broth is the most important component in distinguishing good pho from average pho. And 79's got it. Their ingredients always seem fresh as well.

Pros: Best pho in the Twin Cities, decent Egg rolls and Spring rolls

Cons: Pork chop dishes are a little skimpy, service could get bad if it's really busy

Food was delicious - value was great - service was prompt and gracious. The spring rolls are amazing and the noodles are perfect comfort food.

LAZY SERVICE!!!!
I DONT KNOW WHERE TO START AT HOW BAD OF MY EXPERIENCE WAS AT THIS SMALL, CROWDED RESTAURANT (SHOULDER TO SHOULDER)!!! MY HUSBAND AND I WENT THERE DURING HIS "HOUR" LUNCH BREAK A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND WE WILL NEVER CHOOSE TO GO THERE AGAIN!
WE ARRIVED AT THE RESTAURANT AROUND WHAT SEEMED TO BE THERE LUNCH HOUR AND THE PLACE WAS PRETTY PACKED! WE WERE ABLE TO GET A TABLE RIGHT AWAY BUT IT WAS A VERY SMALL TABLE AND WE WERE PROBABLY A FEET APART FROM THE TABLE TO LEFT AND TO THE RIGHT OF US! THERE WAS ONLY ONE WAITRESS WORKING AT THAT TIME. AFTER SHE SAT US AT OUR TABLE SHE DIDNT EVEN BRING US WATER OR ANYTHING TO DRINK !! I DIDNT MIND ABOUT THE WATER BUT WHAT MADE ME MAD WAS THAT AFTER SHE SAT US DOWN SHE NEVER CAME BACK, SHE DIDNT COME TAKE OUR ORDER OR EVEN BOTHER TO CHECK IF WE WERE READY OR NOT..NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE SAT AT OUR TABLE FOR ATLEAST 30 MINUTES!!! AND STILL NO WATER OR SERVICE! I FINALLY GOT FED UP AND WENT TO GO TELL THE CASHIER THAT THE WAITRESS CAN COME TAKE OUR ORDER, THAN I REALIZED THAT THERE WAS A PARTY OF 5 THAT SAT DOWN AFTER US ALREADY RECEIVED THEIR FOOD...IT WAS REALLY UNFAIR AND REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! AFTER INFROMING THE CASHIER WE WAITED ANOTHER TEN MINUTES AND JUST DECIDED TO LEAVE. IT WAS JUST A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE...I DONT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL!

Pros: NOTHING!

Cons: THE SIZE OF THE RESTAURANT, BAD SERVICE

I believe that pho means soup and that is the specialty of this restaurant. The bowl of soup you will get here is delicous and enormous. You might end up taking some home--though I ate the best parts and left some broth. I especially like that the soup is served with fresh basil, sliced jalapeno pepper, a lime and bean sprouts if you want them. Many choices on the menu. Service is quick. It is a great place for a workday lunch. The restaurant is simply decorated and clean. We had to wait in line for a few minutes for a table but it wasn't a long wait.
