I ordered from there and they were completely courteous and amazing. They were prompt and the pizza was good. I work in the service industry and realize good service when I get it.
Pros: good pizza
Cons: not really any
I ordered a pizza from Uptown Pizza tonight and must say they are very POOR on customer service. I ordered a 20 inch pizza and got a 14 inch pizza. I called to complain and was treated rather rudely and cold by what I believed to be the manager on duty. I explain to him the situation and it was put back on me as making the mistake. I just finally told the guy that I will no longer be ordering from them. The pizza also arrived only slightly warm. Will go back to Jakenos' when ordering my pizza since I feel they are a 4 star pizzia with excellent service.
Let me first say that there is a review on here with one star, and claiming bad service. I have ordered from them probably 100 times (seriously) and not once had bad service. It may have been an off night, but that goes to show that it can happen to the best. (Which is why I always say to give a place no more than two chances to see if you really like it!)
That said, UPTOWN PIZZA is godly! Their Margherita pizza is my favorite, and you honestly have not lived until you've tried their cheese bread and their garlic knots, both things of legend. The Margherita has the perfect crust, the perfect cheese, the perfect tomatoes. Their garlic knots are genius, soft and crispy at the same time, with the perfect amount of spice, and drenched in olive oil (served with marinara sauce. Their cheesy bread... dont even get me started on that! It cannot be descirbed in words. You must order it now!
I tried a ton of pizza places when I moved here almost 2 years ago, and finally "found" Uptown.
Their Florentine pizza is also nice, and I've been tempted to try their 4 cheese, but their Margherita is so perfect that any time I call I can't order anything but it!
Highly highly highly recommended.
(On busy nights, they are going to take longer than usual, especially if you live on the border of their delivery area... which includes downtown by the way, since it's not officially on their map. But it doesnt take TOO long.)
Pros: Great taste of food, amazing deals, they treat their regulars amazingly well!
Cons: If you live North of Minneapolis, they can't deliver to you. Takeout only.
I highly recommend any pizza with their garlic olive oil sauce. Very garlicky, very delicious. Their Thai Chicken Pizza is also amazing. My personal favorite pizza delivery in Minneapolis, and I've lived here for some time.
Do not order delivery from this place. We ordered on a Friday night. The order took way over an hour to arrive. Mind you we live a few blocks away! Once it made it to my house, the pizza was cold and it came with the wrong soda. Since the delivery man had already left, we called and asked for the right soda to be delivered. We were told it would take less than 10 minutes. After waiting for another half hour, I called to get a refund on the order. The manager finally obliged, but not before treating us with disdain and disrespect. You have been warned!
Cons: Bad service, slow delivery, can't get an order right.
I have had some pizza there. The pizza is no good and soggy but the wings are great.Bad service the driver was rude and scummy looking. On the phone they also took my order wrong i was not happy at all.I mean i heard good things about this place but i tell you i'll never order again.when i called back they said they would not refund my money well what is that all about ....
I have tried all the chains in town and other Minneapolis pizza businesses and have fnally found my home!! NY style pizza with a distinct sauce and perfect crust. I like my sauce to have a slight bite and crust crunchy , not chewy. Great service, ontime delivery and prices that fit the product. More than the chains, similar to Green Mill or Luce, but with an original top line pie and less waiting.
Best so far and it might be tough to keep searching. Seems like a set up for disappointment.
Pros: good service-great pizza...distinct
What can I say about this? I've heard so many reviews ranging from alright to awesome. Honestly, I'd agree with the alright. I was pleasantly impressed with the customer service that the employees gave (especially since it was a holiday!) Very friendly and offered to deliver the pie to me even though I do not live in the delivery zone. The pizza however lacked in taste and was pretty expensive (comparable to Luce).
Pros: Customer Service
Cons: Price, Taste
The best tasting pizza, bar-none. Excellent delivery and good prices.
Pros: Great taste, Quick Delivery
This is the best place to get pizza in Minneapolis. WONDERFUL!!! In my eyes it has taken over where Luce has fallen now that they are getting to be a larger company. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK UPTOWN PIZZA!
Coming from NYC, the pizza is not even close. But it is still good. It's probably the only pizza I've been eating in Minneapolis. Plus it's open late. Pizza is not pizza if you can't have it at 2am!
Moving to the Twin Cities after 10 years in NY, it has been very difficult to find pizza that even comes close to the delicious pies they have in NY. Last week, I ran across a flyer for Uptown Pizza, and they are AWESOME. Spicy sauce, great wings, and speedy delivery. I highly reccomend this wonderful establishment.
Pros: Tasty Pizza, Tasty Wings, Friendly service
No longer being in Uptown Pizza's delivery area is my one regret at moving out of Uptown! Their White Pizza is my favorite. Great crisp crust. I still accept any invitation to the neighborhood that starts "we plan to order in from Uptown Pizza." And it is strictly take-out; no reason to dress up!
Pros: Reasonably priced, Prompt delivery
Cons: Strictly take-out
