went to this dealership after work on 2/27/12 and had a horrible experience. I will never go back. When I learned from the salesman that the car I researched and wanted to test drive had already sold, he offered a test drive of a Chevy Tracker SUV that he had on the lot for $4988. I said fine and he went with us on the test drive. We made it about 1.5 miles away going west on Highway 110 in Mendota Heights when I switched drivers with my daughter. She started to drive and the car promptly died on 110. It was right while the salesman was telling me how the car had been safety checked and inspected. Yeah, right. We pulled over and sat on the side of the road. It would not turn over. The salemsan was very apologetic and called repeatedly for someone from Kia to pick us up. We waited almost 40 minutes for someone from the dealership to come and get us! It was cold and ridiculous. The person who picked us up was a teenage kid who drove recklessly and simply made excuses that he could not find us even though we were in plain sight on the side of the road. I will never go back to this dealership. First they try to sell us a lemon and then they make us wait for 40 minutes stranded in the piece of junk!

My experience with Luther Kia/Nissan was a bit shakey. I had originally worked with Ron Ellis via email who quoted a price on a vehicle that was dealer invoice price minus $600 through my employer MERSC discount program(I even have the emails). When it came to sign the paperwork, the price was MSRP minus $100 and Mr. Ramy in finance said they don't give out invoice prices; either Mr. Ramy or Ron Ellis where lying (or misrepresenting information). The vehichle that they eventually located for me had to be brought up from Mankato; when it arrived it had over four hundred miles on it. Last time I checked, Mankato is about 90 miles from the cities. No explaination or compensation was given/offered for the excessive miles on what they sold as a "new" car. During the 4-5 days they took to locate this vehicle, they had many opportunities to contact us and let us know what paperwork we should bring in. The dealership made no attempt to keep us updated or advise of what to bring in for the finance paperwork. This resulted in us having to fax in more paperwork the next business day. Last, during the initial search for a financer/bank one interest rate and monthly payment was quoted. When it came to sign everything, the interest rate and payment were higher then what was quoted. Even though they were generally nice, the sense of shysters made the experience unpleasant. I love the Kia cars and the car I choose, but I don't think I can recommend going to Luther/Nissan

A warning light had come on erroneously; the service dept. fixed it as a "drive in" customer and took the time to check the low tire pressure warning light which was on. Again - no charge. The service mgr. also explained a few things about the controls which h I'd not picked up on. Very positive visit.

I have been doing business with Luther dealerships for the past 15 years but can not recommend this service department. I filled out the on line service form and brought my car in for a transmission flush(10+qts) and AWD service. Rather than performing a flush as requested on the service form they only drained and refilled(4 qts) I wrote a bad service review but they don't have the courtesy to call and check on poor reviews. I will go elsewhere in the future.

Excellent service....again :)
I bought a 2011 Juke back in October from JP. He was an awesome salesman and did everything he could to help me get my car for the price I wanted and everyone else along the way (receptionists, accounting, etc) was very pleasant to deal with, also. They underestimated my tax/license fee and just paid it instead of making me come back in to pay the difference.
And now I just had my 6 month check up and an oil change. In and out with no hassel and they fixed a recall that I didn't even know about. I hope to continue to receive world class service from Luther in Inver Grove!! Thanks everyone! :)

Just had my second extended visit to Luther Nissan Kia with a service issue. Don't get me wrong the service team is on the ball, efficient and communicates well. It's just that I only have 1800 miles (no I didn't forget a zero or two) and I just had to give them my car for the entire week to fix an engine leak and replace 4 gaskets. They ordered parts, tested the install, and then delivered on their timelines, but I should be out driving my 2011 Sorento to the dog park, not driving a rental car.

I sent email quote requests to 4 different dealerships. JP Lisenfeld at Luther Nissan Kia gave me both the quickest response and the best price. I spent about a week communicating with him and his responses were always very quick and very helpful. When my husband and I went in to the dealership the customer service was the same as the email correspondence. He took time with us to get to know us (and we him) and took even more time to show us the bells and whistles of the car. This is the best car-buying experience I've ever had and I would highly recommend JP to anyone else; I can't speak highly enough of him!

I was introduced to Luther Nissan/Kia last summer when I purchased a carryover 2009 Kia Rio5. I thought the sales person was great when they helped drive my new car home and made me feel very important througout the entire sales experience, over such a cheap little car! This spring I discovered that your service department is also the greatest too! I slid into a curb on a slushy street last Nov. Due to financial concerns I was hesitant to take it in right away. Due to uneven tire wear it was due time I had this looked at. Turns out just an alignment was all it needed and a set of tires, which were my fault. I wish I would of been smart enough to take it in sooner! My recent service apt was to correct loose front sway bar linkages they found from the prior visit, plus check a new howl coming from the front end. They found a bad wheel bearing also which they had in stock. I feel my accident and delay in getting it checked out contributed to these premature failures. But both were fixed under wty with no questions asked. I also had the oil changed at that time and brought in a 10% off coupon I received from Kia. The service person said they had a better coupon on their web site that he printed off and gave me my Kia coupon back. Every time I've been in their garage they've also given me a free car wash. I have never received such great service anywhere! There is no other way to put it, the value pricing, preferred treatment, and ownership experience I've received from Luther Nissan/Kia during our short relationship has made me a customer for LIFE!!!

I just bought two cars from Luther Nissan, a new Murano & a used Smart. I had gone in to look at the Smart and liked the experience and service and noticed the Murano on the showroom. Ended up buying that 2 days later for my wife.

The salesman JP was most accommodating and easy to work with. The no-haggle pricing seemed very competitive and the trade-in was very reasonable.

Terrible experience. Our oil change took over an hour when we had an appointment. They broke our antenna off and had the courtesy to put it in the cupholder for us instead of fixing it by puttin it back on.
Last time we go back.

Their sales, service and finance departments are all well trained in customer service. They are all very knowledable, polite, and concerned for the customers needs and desires. They spent 6 hours with me trying to make sure all of my needs were met and I got what I wanted. I would recommend anyone to buy a car from there. I am very happy and love my new car! I was in the market for a used car for my newly licensed teenage driver. I was impressed with Scott H with his friendliness and no pressure sales tactic.I came to Luther Nissan via the ads on TV and the internet. I always buy brand new cars as I hate trying to decipher if I was getting a good used car. I liked the buying experience with the used car, a 1999 Nissan Altima, warranty, the inspection and I was able to stay in my price range under $4,000. The process went fairly quick even though they were extemely busy as this was Labor Day and I did not require financing. I would definitely come back again as the experience was great.

Planning to use a coupon we had received in the mail for a discount, we were pleasantly surprised when we were told that the maintenance check was free since we hadn't used our free one since purchasing the vehicle. Not only did they perform the maintenance check, they washed the car too. All for free! And they did it with a smile. Now that's service!

My salesman is a very caring person as he offered to drive the car to me when he saw my email inquiry stating I had been in a car accident. He made the whole process stress free. I made an appointment for a Wednesday evening at 7pm for an oil-change and routine maintenance; I arrived about 15 minutes early and they started right in on my vehicle. I didn't have the option to leave and come back, so I had to wait for my vehicle service. I was expecting at least an hour but my car was done in less than 45 minutes, including being washed and vacumed. Mike in service is excellent, always helpful and knowledgeable.

I recently bought a car at Luther and the process was very easy. I have bought several cars over the years and this process was about the easiest I have had. They were honest and up front. Yesterday I brought my new Kia Rio5 in to have a cruise control unit installed. The shop and the people helping were great - they completed the work when they said they would and they gave me a loaner car to use during the day. On this alone I would give them a five but for a few things:
1.) When I got my car back there was over 50 miles on it and i was down a 1/4 tank of gas - kind of surprising.
2.) The place where the cruise control arm was installed is really awful - it is on the column but the spokes of the steering wheel blocks it from my vision and it was extrememly dangerous using this the first time - I can not see the light to tell whether or not is it on, not can I see which buttons do what. i have to turn the wheel quite a bit to look at it and when I'm in traffic on the freeway I don't want to do that. Am not sure if there would be a better place for this but it would have been nice to be told about it.

after many years of owning GM vehicles, i purchased my first nissan (altima SL) on 8/18. we worked with Dave Alstrup who was professional and sincere about finding us the car we wanted. Dave has many years experience in the auto industry and was an absolute pleasure to work with. there were no surprises with Dave and it was a seamless transaction. IF you go to Nissan, i would strongly recommend asking for Dave. we observed many different salespeople and i honestly think that if we woudln't have met Dave initially that we wouldn't have purchased my car. the other sales people seemed to lack zest and personality whereas Dave did not. The finance people left a lot to be desired personality wise but that may be a requirement for the finance department at an auto dealership. i felt that there were some smoke/mirrors and you really needed to be aware of the offers that existed because they didn't seem overly forthcoming with the 0.00% financing option that "just became available" (although it was advertised on tv, online, ect).
with that said, i love love LOVE my nissan and really believe that i will be driving this car for many years to come. if Dave is retired when i need another car, i hope that i can find someone half as awesome as him.

2006 Nissan 350Z owner, purchased used in 2008, not from Luther Nissan, however I continually get my car serviced by Luther Nissan, since I purchased it. In fact had Luther look at the car, and go over the car, at time of purchase.

Mauricio and now Greg Isham, Service Managers have been very helpful, easy to ask questions and advice on maintaining the 350Z. Car is always returned on time, clean and any extra work needed or recommended is always fully discussed a head of time. I have had very positive experiences from these 2-professionals, learned more about my 350Z, along with learning more about the newer 370Z and the GTR. They are great car enthusiast and have an obvious passion to the products and technology. Fact checking it turns out my car was originally sold by Luther Nissan, and miles, records all matched up to the Owner??s records.

I have recommended to others who have purchased Nissan??s from other dealers and were not satisfied with their experience with the Servicing, and are now Luther Customers. I highly recommend Luther !

I had an intermittent confusing problem.They found what was wrong and made good on the 100,000 mile warranty on my used car purchased there two years ago...no questions asked and I have often had it serviced elsewhere. The new parts work perfectly. They even did some other minor sevice...all at no charge.

Contacted Luther Nissan on their website with what i was looking for. Brian called the next day got a quote together the same day. It didn't appear we were even close being i had a trade in. We bought a vehicle from Luther about 3 wks ago and we were very happy with it until we picked it up. About 5 minutes after leaving I had a door ajar light go off so I pulled over and checked it thinking a door was open which there wasnt. So, my husband calls Luther and they tell us that they had replaced that sensor already so we needed to bring it back but they couldnt get us in till next week, well we live 1 1/2 hrs away so I was a little upset, especially since when we bought the truck we were told that nothing needed to be fixed on it. So, we brought it back the following Wednesday, get a loaner and pick it back up on Saturday. Seems fine for awhile but now the same light is back on!!! My husband called yesterday and was told he could bring it in this morning which he did, but when he got there he's told that they don't have a loaner for him so he has to come back next Wednesday! So, now he made ANOTHER trip to Luther for nothing just so he can do it again next week. Very disappointed, I was very happy with them at first and even recommended them to others but now I'm not sure that I will anymore! Now, I'm glad that its only a sensor and not something major but we've put to many miles on our nice new vehicle and wasted too much gas(which isnt cheap these days) driving back and forth.

I have been a customer at Luther Nissan KIA for at least 6 years. Whenever I have bring my car in for routine maintenance it is always done promptly and completely. Scott and Greg (Managers) are very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.
Last year I had a problem with the ABS. It was difficult to diagnose so I was provided with a loaner and one of the technicians actually drove the car over the weekend and determined the problem. The car was just over the warranty but Scott negotiated with Nissan and Nissan covered the cost.

We have two 2008 Nissans ... a Maxima and a Coupe. Service on both cars has been good, until recently. The problem is the passenger-side window on the Coupe.

A month or two ago, the window suddenly dropped straight down into the window well and then fell backwards, leaving the window at a diagonal in the well. My wife was in the passenger seat at the time, and as you can imagine, she was so frightened that she sat in the back seat until we got home. A technician from Luther Glass/Collision came to our house to fix the window and said the problem was with a couple of hooks which carry the window up and down.Last weekend, as we were coming home from the cabin, the window fell again, exactly as it did before. Again, my wife was in the passenger seat, and again, she was very uncomfortable.

My problem is this: The window as been repaired again, but no one will give me any assurance that the window won't fall again. The window may be fixed, but for how long? Another four to six weeks? And what about the driver's side window? Will it, too, come crashing into the window well? And what happens if the windows breaks?

My rating will show up as one star. If I had the option, it would be no stars.

Luther service is really great. The people are hard working and very, very nice. They are open till midnight. And the service desk guy was great about an estimate on a little ding.

The service department is always professional, but I wonder if I will ever buy another Nissan. The last two times I brought it in for an oil change it has cost me thousands in other repairs. Too bad I really like my Titan, perhaps its time for a Chevy or Ford.
