Dairy Queen

This DQ ends up being a "half-way" point when my mom comes to visit us from northern Minnesota. It is a place where my parents can drive down and I can drive up and we meet for lunch and transfer my mom's stuff from one vehicle to the other before Dad and I each turn around and go back the way we came. It is very convenient to get to, but leaving (and getting back onto I-35) requires a right turn then a u-turn before you can get to the interstate (not hard to do by any means). It is a nice dine in facility with clean restrooms. This time all of us ordered Chicken Strip baskets, except I ordered mine Buffalo'd. I love spicy! All three of us enjoyed our chicken and ice cream treats (caramel shake for mom, strawberry sundae for dad, and a cookie dough blizzard for me). A nice break after driving almost 5 hours straight before turning around to drive it all over again to get home.
I noticed on the DQ web site that if you look up each store, you can find their contact information, hours, and specials and/or coupons to print out to use on your visit. Wish I would have done this before this trip! I could have saved $1 on my basket. Oh well, I will make sure to use this when I take mom back to MN next week.

Dairy Queen is the best place to get an ice ceram treat. Plus the one in Lakeville is a brazier so it has burgers, fries, and hot dogs on demand so it has whatever your sweet tooth might crave.
