My daughter danced there for 14 years. Money issues forced the studio's owner, Sue Franks to pull student (not calling the parents) from class and demanding tuition be paid in full threw the end of the dance season (June) or they couldn't compete in competitions. Poor ownership, poor communication, poor management and I would like to warn parents thinking of sending your child there, your child is only dollars signs to this studio. There are many other studios to choose from that will actually teach your child to love dance...this is not one of them.

I spent a year at Stage door and went over to nothern force with the studio's split with a few friends.

I was NOT happy with Northern Force Dance Company. Although the main instructor there has good cheorography, she is VERY unprofessional and VERY immature, very unfriendly. . There are not many people who go there and do not openly admit it in more harsh words. The main instructor indeed creates much of the drama between the parents and children. Either by not addressing behavior issues in the classroom (normally it is her "favorites" that are causing the clicky issues, or by her handling parent complaints about other parents in immature ways. Went back to stage door this year and was much happier. Way to go stage Door.

Pros: Very good technique training.

Cons: I am happy

Stage door has a GREAT staff and GREAT history of being one of the toughest places to bet when it comes to competitions. Even if you are looking for a place for recreational, this is the place to be!!!!

I love the staff and teachers!
