I stopped in to try on wedding gowns one afternoon, and there weren't many people in the store (other than employees). When I was greeted and I told her what I was looking for, the girl asked if I had an appointment, which I did not. She then said, "We don't serve your kind here." I'm not sure what that meant, but I'm assuming that was her way of telling me I needed an appointment. So I went to their website ( www.angeliquesbridalsalon.com ) after I got home to see if I'd made an error in judging their hours. To confirm what I'd originally thought, they didn't list anywhere on their website that I would need an appointment. On the day I went there, they were listed as being open from 10AM-9PM, but I guess they weren't helping paying customers at 2 in the afternoon! I was so disgusted I went elsewhere (to a place that required appointments, but said so on their website at least).

Do NOT, do NOT use Angelique's! I had my bridesmaids order their dresses from here. The sales staff gave absolutely no help when it came to choosing their sizes. All they did was give them a sizing chart, and the girls did their best to choose the right size.

When the dresses came in, NONE of them fit. The girls were literally swimming in them. The manager offered NO help, would not apologize, and in fact blamed my bridesmaids for choosing the wrong size.

But, of course, she offered to set up an appointment to make the alterations. Ha. No thanks, we took them to another, reputable establishment.

This place is a racket! Complete fraud. Do not order your dresses through Angeliques! They are only nice until they make the sale, and they then could not care less about you.

My fiance and I went into angelique's this morning to check out the dresses and maybe try some on. I had checked their website, and it never said that they are by appointment, so we went to check it out.
The lady at the front desk (who was nice) informed us that they only work by appointment, but we could feel free to slip off our shoes and walk around and look at the dresses. I thought that was cool, so we did that and went and looked through some of the wedding dresses. We were making our way through to the other side where there were even more dresses when a different worker frantically stopped us from going any farther. She stepped in front of me right in front of the prom dresses and she demanded to know what we were doing and if we had an appointment. We explained that the lady at the desk told us it would be fine to look at the dresses.
The worker wouldn't even look at my fiance at first and she rudely informed us that boys were not allowed back behind the desk where the dresses are. We were both really shocked and didn't understand or move. Then she finally said that the dresses are just too close to the dressing rooms and they wouldn't want anyone changing to feel uncomfortable or be seen by a boy. My fiance starting walking back to the front, and the worker continued to scold me about the situation. Then she said something about prom dresses and that there is a lot of time until prom. (We are both over 10 years past prom age.) I told her we weren't looking for a prom dress but for bridal dresses. She assumed I meant bridesmaid dresses and pulled me over to the bridesmaid dresses. Then she said, "You can look at the dresses, but he's going to have to stay in front of the desk."
I walked off and we left.

This encounter really upset and hurt my feelings. I recently moved, and my "girl" family and friends are all in my hometown, nowhere close to here. I was so excited that my fiance was willing and happy to come wedding dress shopping with me, and this really bummed me out. This shop needs to get into the 21st century and realize that not everyone goes shopping with just girls anymore.
Plus, what difference does it make if he's a guy or just a girl? Who wants to try on dresses in dressing rooms that aren't private? Where anyone who is walking by can see you get dressed?

This shop won't be getting my money. I hope they don't get yours either!

I ordered my bridesmaid dress for a wedding I was in and it came really quick. THe only thing I was disappointed in is that they only called the bride to let her know that all the dresses were done and not the individual girls. So that caused a little bit of a hassle. But they will take the dresses back from us to press them before the wedding which I think is a huge plus!
